Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Traps and Truths

~Annalyn POV~

The dining room was a war zone of tension, the torn prophecy page lying on the table like a challenge. Lucas was pacing, Calix was cracking his knuckles, Matteo was staring at the page like it might bite, and Ezra—well, Ezra was smirking, as usual. My heat was simmering, making it hard to focus, and the Moon Alpha's voice was back, whispering about traps and betrayal. We had to catch this traitor, and fast.

"Okay, genius," I said, pointing at Lucas. "You said set a trap. How?"

He stopped pacing, eyes glinting. "We fake a ritual. Leak that we're doing it tonight, in the forest. The traitor will show to sabotage it."

Calix raised an eyebrow. "And Silas? He's still chained up."

"Leave him," Ezra said, leaning back. "He's a distraction. The real player's out there."

Matteo frowned, tapping the table. "Risky. If it's an inside job, they'll know it's a setup."

I nodded, my wolf uneasy. "Then we make it believable. I'll be the bait."
