Chapter 37 - The Battle of Panda vs. the Troll

"Go, shrimp… no, wait!" Victor subconsciously blurted out the ridiculous nickname from his home, but he immediately realized that even if the creature in front of him was the weakest of its kind, calling it that would be too disrespectful. So Victor quickly corrected himself, "Go, Porksy!"

The dumpling-shaped creature leaped and collided with the troll. The two behemoths wrestled with each other, causing the entire dungeon to shake violently. Hiding behind Victor, Hermione's eyes turned into red hearts when she saw the image of Porksy.

"Wow! Is that a panda?!"

"So cute!!!"

She had seen pandas at the zoo a long time ago, but those two were nowhere near as adorable as the one in front of her! In fact, Victor had originally planned to use the image of the "Muscle Barbie," but he thought that would be too much for the troll, so he decided to use the weakest of the pandas.

BANG!!!

In the Hogwarts dungeon, Porksy wrapped its sharp claws around the troll's neck, swung it back and forth, and slammed it against the wall. A stone pillar was instantly shattered, causing a cloud of dust to erupt. At the same time, a nearby brazier was also knocked over, spilling hot coals onto the troll. The pain and heat made it scream in agony once again.

However, despite taking a heavy hit, the thick-skinned troll did not fall from Porksy's blow. The troll shook its head, trying to stay conscious, and through its blurry vision, it swung its wooden club at the black and white figure in front of it.

But unfortunately, pandas are not very good at standing upright. The troll's club whizzed past Porksy's head and hit a giant oil painting on the wall with a thud. The frame shattered from the immense force, and the person in the painting started screaming in fear, running for their life.

"Victor, is this really okay?" Hermione asked, nervously clutching his robe. She was worried as she looked at the increasingly messy scene. She wondered how they were going to explain all this to the professors.

But Victor was thrilled by Hermione's concern. He was directing Porksy's fight as if it were a video game, and he replied nonchalantly, "Don't worry, it's fine! I can just use Reparo to fix everything later. When the professors get here, just pin all the blame on me. Professor Dumbledore won't do anything, and I might even get some extra points."

Then, he suddenly yelled in a panic, "Hey, you idiot! Don't hit its head! A troll's head is very fragile. If it faints, the fun's over!"

"…" Hermione was speechless at Victor's childish behavior.

Meanwhile, as the troll was struggling for its life, Harry and Ron finally arrived. They were out of breath as they ran to the entrance of the dungeon, but before they could go down the stairs, they heard a loud roar from below.

"ROOOOOOAR!!!"

The pained scream made Harry and Ron's scalps tingle. They quickly looked at each other and saw the fear and urgency in each other's eyes. Remembering that Hermione was downstairs, they bravely rushed down the stairs. Once they reached the bottom, they felt the ground shake and heard the roars getting closer, causing them to slow down.

Harry and Ron came to a corner, and the noises were coming from the corridor around it. As they were about to peek their heads out to see what was happening, a long, black shadow suddenly flew out from around the corner. A bloody arm, still holding a large wooden club, hit the nearest wall and bounced on the ground a few times before rolling to a stop in front of them.

Harry and Ron's pupils constricted as they stared at the gruesome sight, their hearts skipping a beat. They swallowed, looked at each other again, and tried to suppress their fear as they cautiously peeked around the corner. In the long dungeon corridor, a black and white beast was fighting a troll, making a deafening sound.

The two of them quickly ducked back. Harry turned to Ron in shock and asked, "What in the world is going on? They said it was just a troll! Where did that other one come from?!"

But Ron only shook his head in terror, a look on his face that said, Don't ask me, I can't handle this!!!

"Is there any other way to get to the girls' toilet?" Harry peeked out again, then asked Ron in a panic.

"No, there's only one corridor in the dungeon, and the girls' toilet is in the middle of it!" Ron replied.

Just then, another loud, horrible scream echoed through the corridor, and a brazier that had been hanging on the wall suddenly flew toward Harry and Ron, embedding itself in the wall just above their heads.

Harry and Ron stared blankly at the brazier, which was so close it was still sparking. Bits of rubble and embers fell in front of them.

"We have to get a professor!" They both said at the same time, reaching a consensus and running for their lives. They realized that they, as two young wizards, couldn't possibly handle a fight between two monsters. If they tried to go and save Hermione, they wouldn't even be considered as pawns in this game.

Harry and Ron ran back to the first floor as fast as they could. At that moment, they felt as if they had never run so fast in their lives. They had just gotten back to the first floor when they saw Dumbledore and a group of professors walking toward them. They ran toward them as if they had seen saviors.

Harry, panting and leaning on his knees, pointed toward the dungeons and said, "Pro-Professor! There are two monsters in the dungeons! Besides the troll… Hermione… Hermione is still down there!" His words were barely coherent.

Professor McGonagall, hearing that a student was still trapped in the dungeons and hearing the muffled booms from below, instantly turned pale. She quickly started running toward the dungeon.

"ROOOOAAAR!!!"

At the same time, in the dungeon corridor, Porksy had pinned the beaten-up troll to the ground. It raised its head and its paws, letting out a victorious bleat.

The troll was barely breathing and would probably be gone soon. Victor also sensed that the Hogwarts professors were about to arrive. So, he decided that this was enough.

With a flick of his wand, Porksy, under Victor's command, moved its round body off the troll and slowly walked to the wall of the corridor, turning back into the stone knight statue.

Just as the stone statue was fully formed, the Hogwarts professors arrived at the scene.

"Oh! Merlin's beard! What in the world happened here?!"

Professor McGonagall, who was in the lead, saw a bloody, still-steaming troll arm lying on the floor not far from the stairs. She immediately went over to inspect the arm and saw that it had been clearly torn off. This meant that the creature that had fought the troll had a terrifying amount of strength.

Just thinking about how much strength it would take to tear off a troll's arm made her heart race. She prayed that Hermione was safe as she quickly ran toward the direction of the roaring.

Turning the corner, she saw a scene of utter devastation. Rubble and debris were everywhere. The once-beautiful paintings were either torn to shreds or stained with the troll's blood. Countless stone knight statues that had guarded Hogwarts for a thousand years were now in pieces. Only one remained intact, standing conspicuously not far from the troll.

Next to the troll's mangled body, Victor was looking around, as if searching for something. Hermione was standing nervously next to him, and she quietly reminded Victor that the professors had arrived.

"Mr. Dreyar, Miss Granger, can the two of you explain what happened here?" Professor McGonagall ran over, looking at Victor and Hermione with a horrified expression on her face.

"Oh, Professor McGonagall, you're here!" Victor said with a cheerful smile, pointing at the troll on the ground. "I took care of the troll!"

"Miss Granger?" Professor McGonagall, who knew Victor's flighty personality, turned her gaze to Hermione to avoid getting angry. She wanted to know why her most obedient and excellent student was with Victor, a troublemaker.

"Professor McGonagall, I…" Hermione glanced at Victor, signaling him to help her explain. Her mind was a complete blank, and she couldn't think of a single thing to say.

Victor saw Hermione's desperate look. He looked at her embarrassed face and began to explain to Professor McGonagall, "Professor, Hermione didn't attend the feast tonight. I heard she was in the girls' toilet, and when the troll came, I was afraid she would be in danger, so I came to find her. As for why she was in the girls' toilet, you'll have to ask those two little lions behind you." He then looked over Professor McGonagall's shoulder.

Dumbledore and the other professors had just arrived. Harry and Ron, who were following behind, heard what Victor said and froze. Little lions? Is he talking about us?
