The result came quickly. In less than twenty minutes, Kaido had completely passed out.
Ren didn't interfere with his subordinates' fight, letting them act freely. Most of Kaido's crew were Devil Fruit users, so this was a good chance for them to practice using seastone weapons.
Ren then carried the unconscious Kaido onto the ship and sat down not far from him.
"So this is Kaido? He's still alive?" Hancock walked over, clearly surprised.
"Can't you tell Ren held back?" Reisa immediately started teasing Hancock. Others might be charmed by her, but she wasn't.
"Who do you think will win?" Ren asked them.
"Pedro and the others," Hancock answered confidently.
"Oh?"
"Their captain was captured. Their morale is already down." Hancock's words hit the mark. As expected, the Beasts Pirates soon lost.
At that moment, Kaido woke up and, seeing Ren, tried to swing his club again.
"Kaido, haven't you realized the gap between us yet?" Ren snorted. If Kaido still didn't get it, he would have to send him to see Big Mom.
"Hmph, what do you want me to do?" Kaido muttered, not caring about his injuries at all.
"Interested in causing chaos in the war with the world government?"
"Sure." Kaido agreed immediately. His subordinates finally relaxed. If he had been any more stubborn, the Beasts Pirates would have been completely wiped out.
"The New World is over. Let's head back to Fish-Man Island," Ren commanded.
"Did that guy Whitebeard agree too?" Kaido asked.
"Of course. He had no choice but to agree," Ren said confidently. Dealing with someone prepared is always easier than someone unprepared—a simple truth.
"Tch." Kaido looked a bit down on him. According to the news, Ren seemed to have defeated him with barely any contact?
At this rate, even Big Mom would have sacrificed herself to resist. At this moment, Kaido highly respected his former friend.
Ren had forcibly united these people, but there was a flaw. If he lost, they would fall apart just like the Rocks Pirates, and these people might contribute little while claiming credit.
Ren didn't care about that. As long as they could hold off part of the enemy, it was enough.
Even the Beasts Pirates joined the journey to Fish-Man Island. With Ren as their giant protector, no one dared to act recklessly.
In the deep sea, the currents hadn't calmed after the previous attack. Without the help of the Fish-Men, the ship couldn't cross. This naturally gave Fish-Man Island a layer of protection.
"An artificial torrent in the dark river, huh." Katakuri murmured as he looked at the scene, a testament to the power of the attack at that time.
Fish-Man Island—this was the first time they had welcomed so many people, including various races, nearly a thousand in total, and that was only part of them.
During this period, the World Government had considered intervening, but Ren's battle was too fast.
In the New World, which sea pirate's fight ever lasted less than a day?
Ren finished in less than half an hour; even a ship couldn't catch up to him.
After briefly explaining the rules of Fish-Man Island, Ren left with Robin. He still needed the Underworld King; he couldn't ignore a chance to save warships and reduce casualties.
In the Grand Line, Ren remained low-key, heading straight for Alabasta with Robin. He tamed a Sea King to carry them along, and in no time, they arrived at the desert kingdom.
The kingdom had endured significant pirate attacks. Being on the Grand Line and reasonably strong, they repeatedly resisted pirates, controlling the coastline and strictly inspecting incoming ships.
Ren didn't want trouble. He landed with Robin at a secluded spot.
"Do we have information on that Poneglyph here?" Robin asked, knowing the purpose of their mission.
"Yes. After all, the royal family of this country descends from the Celestial Dragons."
"Celestial Dragons?"
"They abandoned being Celestial Dragons and established this country. By now, their status is gone," Ren said calmly as he led Robin into the kingdom.
"Truly surprising," Robin murmured. It reminded her of Ren—he had once been a Celestial Dragon too, and after abandoning his identity, nothing about him seemed special besides his strength.
"Wait."
Ren stopped. His Observation Haki detected several powerful presences. Robin immediately hid behind him; she was a non-combatant.
The desert was calm, but the presences were unmistakable. Ren swung his blade toward a spot, cutting a massive chasm through the desert along with it.
"Have I been discovered so quickly by you, Donquixote Ren? Remember what I said before? Don't let the Donquixote name disappear." Saint Garling held his sword casually, his expression relaxed.
"Then let's see about that." Ren replied just as casually. His opponent was strong, but not stronger than him—he was certain of that.
"This is troublesome. You detected me even after using Observation Kill." Garling frowned slightly. A sneak attack is always easier than a frontal assault.
"It seems it doesn't work against this man." A man in a white suit appeared, followed by a dozen others, all radiating strong presence.
"As expected of an eight-hundred-year-old giant. Their foundation is truly deep. How did they know I would come here?" Ren's expression remained indifferent.
He no longer bothered with reasoning; his power could sweep aside anyone except that one person, even the main forces of the God's Knights.
"Since you have Nico Robin and want the legendary warship, you had to come here. And you wouldn't bring many people along." Garling took a drag from his cigarette.
"You've got my mindset figured out. The Navy must be on their way too." Ren glanced sideways at the nearby CP units.
"Correct. But no prize for that." Garling's figure vanished and charged straight at Ren.
Ren held Robin close, using one hand to block Garling's attack. He clearly understood Garling's goal—if he couldn't be killed, Robin would be eliminated by them.
"Donquixote Ren." Garling was furious. He had never been underestimated like this before.
The CP units' mission was to kill Ren, and if that failed, to eliminate Robin. They would do anything to accomplish their objective.
"His figure disappeared. What ability is this? Invisibility?" Ren leapt with Robin, escaping the battlefield.
"One-Sword Style, Atomic Slash." Ren quickly unleashed a wide-range technique.
Garling's eyes sharpened, and he launched a fierce attack toward one spot. Soon, a weakness appeared. The other CP0 members also had their methods, avoiding the strike.
The desert floor twisted violently, destroying everything in its path.
Ren tested a slash against it, but his attack twisted and shattered.
"This really is a dangerous ability."
"One-Sword Style, Soul Sever."
Garling suddenly appeared behind Ren, striking heavily at Ren's blade. Garling broke into a cold sweat. This was his full-strength attack—and Ren blocked it with one hand?
Soon, Garling was kicked flying.
At this moment, the CP units reached Ren. Realizing they couldn't defeat him, they turned their attacks toward Robin. Any touch would be enough to take her down instantly.
