Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Dragnet of Heaven and Earth.

The little beggar shook his head: "I don't understand what you said. I only saw that you knocked out this uncle, so you are the bad guy."

He looked at the two swords in the other's hands with a cold gleam, as if he was looking at two branches.

"If you are a good person, leave quickly and don't embarrass us anymore." The bastard said this seriously.

Ning Huaiyuan could only sneer, and a strong blood color rose in his eyes at that moment.

"You bastard, you don't accept my toast, so you have to drink the penalty."

As he said this, he took another step forward, turned the Mars Sword in his hand into a sword flower, and sent it towards the little beggar with a move of riding the wind and breaking the waves. This sword was as fast as lightning and unparalleled in power.

Yue Pingshan, who had been barely clinging to the sidelines, was exhausted, his vital energy failing to revive. But upon seeing Ning Huaiyuan's attack, he erupted in fury. "The Demon Sect's Blood-Burning Technique! You're a Demon Sect bastard!" As soon as he finished speaking, Yue Pingshan felt a sudden numbness at the back of his head, his blood rushing, his vision blacking out, and he instantly lost consciousness.

Ning Huaiyuan listened to Yue Pingshan's rant, a smile on his face, unmoved.

"Demon Sect?" "

What the hell is a Demon Sect?" "

I Ning Huaiyuan, aim to be the world's greatest martial artist. To achieve this, I hid my identity, endured humiliation, learned the exquisite techniques of various schools, and then integrated them into a single, masterful form, cultivating a peerless martial art that would astound the heavens and earth. How could a mere Huashan Sect contain a giant like me?"

And the dazed and foolish expression of this little beggar before him truly disgusted him. "

Go to hell, Ning Huaiyuan thought.

He thrust his sword forward.

And then—he felt a chill on his neck.

His vision drifted away in an instant.

He saw the blackened roof of the mountain temple, and there was a swallow's nest on the beam.

But the swallows haven't come back yet?

He thought so, and then he felt his vision falling, until he fell heavily to the ground.

In front of the little beggar, Ning Huaiyuan maintained the posture of rushing forward with the sword in hand, but his head had left his body, and blood was pumped from the wound on his neck by the artery like a fountain, and then slowly fell in the air.

The little beggar took a step back, watching Ning Huaiyuan's headless body fall powerlessly in front of him, and then raised his hand and patted it lightly.

Applause echoed in this mountain temple: "Come in."

As soon as these words came out, Xue Ling, dressed in a nightgown, walked in from outside the rain. Looking at the fainted Yue Pingshan and Ning Huaiyuan, who was lying on the ground with his head on the ground, dead as hell, his face was full of disbelief.

"Is it that simple?"

Indeed, Yue Pingshan had just been knocked unconscious by Xue Ling, who, under Fang Bie's instructions, had been struck with a flying rock outside. At such close range, and with a man incapacitated by poison, it was incredibly easy.

But what Xue Ling couldn't accept was that Yue Pingshan was a fourth-rank master, considered among the top thirty in Huashan. And Ning Huaiyuan, who knew how many hidden tricks he had, his true strength perhaps approaching that of a third-rank master. Yet, in front of Fang Bie, both men were completely outplayed.

When Fang Bie appeared, he pushed open the door and watched the two martial arts masters locked in a fierce duel. The scene was incredibly awkward.

And Fang Bie himself didn't even pause. Donning translucent gloves made of sheep intestine, he had already reached Ning Huaiyuan's headless body, pulling out a bag of loose silver, a stack of banknotes, a thin booklet, two vials of medicinal pills, and a box of hidden silver needles from his disguised beggar's clothing.

Xue Ling watched in amazement—how skillful were these movements?

Besides, he just died, his body is still twitching slightly, don't you feel embarrassed?

But Fang Bie's voice came soon.

"First, take down all the steel wires in this mountain temple and take care of them. I'll give you a share of the spoils after you're done."

Xue Ling curled her lips, but her body was still very honest. She went to the wall of the mountain temple and took down all the steel wires that were as thin as spider silk fixed on the wall.

These steel wires were arranged in advance by Fang Bie. Xue Ling didn't know when they were arranged, but she knew that these steel wires were officially activated when Fang Bie pushed the door open with force.

This action also foreshadowed that the stage was finally set.

In this way, Fang Bie's terrifying and weird dodging method when Ning Huaiyuan attacked Fang Bie before could be traced. Because he was surrounded by wires at the time, leveraging them for power allowed Fang Bie to perform numerous maneuvers that completely defied the laws of physics, deeply fearing the unsuspecting Ning Huaiyuan. When he activated his secret technique, intending to engage Fang Bie head-on with his utmost strength, he unexpectedly encountered a wire dangling from his neck as he charged, plunging him into a trap.

As for Ning Huaiyuan's initial sword attack, Fang Bie was also standing behind a row of wires, allowing him to withstand it unscathed and maintain his seemingly innocent appearance.

While these wires sound powerful, their limitations are significant. If it weren't for the cold, rainy night and the enclosed location of a mountain temple, where the wires could be easily arranged and hung, and the low light making their presence difficult to detect, Fang Bie was able to execute the assassination perfectly.

These wires weren't completely fixed; they were arranged to unfold and retract. Initially, the beggars entered and left without encountering any of them. It wasn't until Fang Bie entered and, by pushing hard against the door, triggered the wires. He then publicly attracted attention, posing as a foolish beggar to confuse Ning Huaiyuan. Meanwhile, Xue Ling, in the shadows, fine-tuned the wires so Fang Bie could move freely within the mesh.

But now, after the mission was complete, Xue Ling was to remove all the wires. This was Fang Bie's request, to prevent anyone from noticing.

But—not even Xue Ling, let alone others, could see the clues.

Who would have guessed that Fang Bie would choose this method to carry out his assassination?

And what about his so-called martial arts skills?

Throughout, Fang Bie had only demonstrated some light movements when dodging Ning Huaiyuan's attacks, but wasn't that more of a stunt using the wires?

But thinking this way, Xue Ling still rolled up the steel wires bit by bit. Most of these steel wires were ordinary steel wires, which were the ones Fang Bie could use to twist and turn them. Only a few were extremely sharp and had lethal power, such as the one that cut off Ning Huaiyuan's head in the end.

Those steel wires had to be handled with extreme caution. If you were not careful, you would cut your palm and fingers. Fang Bie had specifically warned you about this.

After doing all this, Xue Ling looked up and saw that Fang Bie had put Ning Huaiyuan's body and head together. Then he took out a small emerald green porcelain bottle from his arms and sprinkled powder on the flesh and blood. Immediately, a sizzling green smoke came out, which smelled a bit like burnt feathers.

In front of Xue Ling's eyes, Ning Huaiyuan's body was gradually disappearing with the green smoke.

Xue Ling silently covered his mouth with his hand.
