Noah's pov

The fight with Pecan replayed in my mind like a broken record, each harsh word cutting deeper with every passing moment. I had been unfair, lashing out when I shouldn't have. She didn't deserve that.

I pulled out my phone, my thumb hovering over her name in my contacts. My pride told me to leave it alone, but something stronger,guilt, regret, maybe even love,pushed me to hit the call button.

The phone rang once, twice, then went to voicemail. I sighed, raking a hand through my hair. "Pecan," I began, my voice low and strained. "It's me. I… I'm sorry. Can we talk? Please, just call me back."

I ended the call and grabbed my coat. Since she left the house, I'll look for her hopefully she wouldn't have entered the house from another door, I pick up her scent if that was the case. Waiting for her to respond wasn't an option. I had to see her, to fix this mess. The thought of her upset, crying because of me, was unbearable.

I'll check her house first before leaving.
