Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: A Little Love

『Hakari Kotaro』

After I had cleaned up Toga and made my room presentable, my classmates actually came to visit me. Not that it was unexpected given the reputation I had somehow gained among them, but it still felt weird. Mineta especially, who left me a whole ass fruit basket as a get well gift.

That aside, once I was discharged, Nezu started handling the whole moving process swiftly and efficiently. He even paid for any furniture and stuff we wanted for our home out of pocket, though considering his wealth, the amount he was paying for was basically sand grains in the desert that was his bank account.

I am just waiting for the day I roll Long Range Teleportation so that I can move between my old house and the dorms.

Today, I was outside getting groceries and essentials for Toga and I moving into the dorms. Toga said she'd be busy decorating our rooms, and tasked me with getting groceries, for good reason. I was absolutely terrible in terms of decorating, I don't know why, but the interior decorating fairy skipped me when they were blessing people with interior aesthetic sense.

Besides, I had my trusty ol' bag o' Midas with me, and getting some fresh air was good for my mental state after that jumpscare of a feat I got yesterday. I feel like [Four Leaf Clover] was really jobbing with my luck if I was on Evil Potato Head Man's radar.

If there was a silver lining, it was that I knew Potato Man's method of operation, and I'm pretty sure [Remix] did not change it, otherwise I'm pretty sure we'd all be dead by now.

All for One values his theatrics way more than he values the results, he will waste upwards of dozens of years sitting on his ass specifically grooming some LoL player with poor hygiene as his successor instead of using his ability effectively. And he wants to do things his way, he hates the glory being stolen from him like the manchild he is.

So I wouldn't have to worry about sniped or ambushed while going out for groceries. Though now the timeline is more unpredictable which is something I dislike. Thankfully, I have something to compensate for the gap, that being my first Epic ability, Greater Hemokinesis. It was an ability strong enough that I could probably get into top 10 with it alone if I trained enough.

Speaking of having something, the Potato Head Man indeed gave me a ticket, but the result was...

Rolling Silver Trait Gacha Ticket...

A Common Trait

[Pretty Up]

|Common Trait|

You receive a cosmetic alteration to your physique and form, making you more attractive, at least by your own standards. Perhaps longer prettier hair, a few inches, different eye color. etc. Cannot completely change your looks, only enhances what is already there, it would take an ordinary person to a fairly attractive person, but still at a level where anyone who knows you would still be able to recognize you.

Yeah, I'd have preferred something more relating to my combat ability too, it's not like I was not confident in my appearance, it was one of my more redeemable features, I wouldn't have gotten so much into trouble in my past life otherwise.

The effect was pretty nice beyond even the cosmetic features, though. My skin was now baby smooth, my muscles firmer yet softer at the same time, my eyes clearer, my hair silky and fine, I basically looked like I had a very extensive and exhaustive self-care routine and not like someone who just showers with cold water and a 10 in 1 shampoo.

I checked my watch, this line was awfully long, wasn't it? Sure, I wasn't in a hurry, but I was also not wanting to spend my entire day in this dammed line.

Perhaps, my [Four Leaf Clover] was offended by my previous implications about it, as it decided to throw something my way.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Nobody fucking move! This is a robbery! All of y-you get down on the floor or k-kid gets it!"

"Kyaah!" "A villain!" "It's a villain!" "D-don't hurt me!" "S-someone call the heroes!"

The store went silent as several gunshot like sounds rang out, out of reflex I ducked behind cover as other people dropped to the floor. In the middle of the store was a with his outstretched, several jagged pieces of rock floating in front of his palm, and there were several stone fragments buried in the floor of the store. It was easy to deduce what his quirk was, some kind of stone bullet creation I'd wager.

Quite bold to start a robbery in Musutafu of all places, how odd.

Though, the thing that drew my attention the most was the person he grabbed and pointed several stones at. It was a girl, she was short, and I mean very short, but I could tell she was not a kid unlike what he asserted, she was a woman according to the curves under that hoodie of hers. Long red hair peeked out from under her hood and her expression was twisted in fear. She looked somewhat familiar.

"n-no please..."

"I am Rockshot! And if you don't want to be torn to shreds, throw your wallet onto the floor fast, and you! Empty the register or else she gets it!"

People started throwing their wallets to the floor while I stood behind the shelf, he had not noticed me. I was not annoyed by the interruption, on the contrary, I could use the stress relief and the potential ticket that was going to be given to me.

As the cashier started emptying the register, I switched to Greater Hemokinesis to start testing it out.

Immediately, I felt it. The effect of an Epic ability, I could feel the heartbeat and thrum of blood of everybody in the store like a radar. And my own blood felt like another set of limbs I have had my entire life.

With the control I felt, the inspiration I was going to be taking seemed more than plausible.

My wrist slit open and blood poured out of it, I didn't have to worry about losing too much blood as I was recovering it at the same time with Lesser Aid. The blood flowed and flowed out, and I compressed the blood into several small marble sized blood spheres floating in front of me.

'Go forth my children.'

The orbs of blood floated away under my command, small enough that they were able to navigate around the man's blind spot and approach him. Some people noticed the small floating orbs but were not stupid enough to say anything.

Once the blood orbs were stationed properly and would not hurt the girl, I snapped my fingers.

Theatrics are important. You can't have substance without style.

"Supernova."

Bam!

"Gah!"

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Sounds like shotgun blasts rang out as the compressed balls of blood exploded, breaking both of his arms and one of his legs and a shoulder, sending him crumpling into the floor. Choso definitely had the right idea with this technique. And I had to purposely tone down the lethality by making it a blunt explosion instead of buckshot too.

As the man fell over, I rushed forward and grabbed both the girl and the man before they faceplanted just in case. I let the man down and helped the girl up as the store recovered their wits. Their eyes widened when they saw the UA Uniform on me(I came from the school after all).

"Oh! A UA student took the villain!" "What a hero!" "As expected of UA."

Some people even started clapping, fucking clapping. Ignoring the type of people that would also clap when the plane lands, I turned my attention to the short woman in my arms.

"Hello miss, are you okay?"

My natural womanizer instincts kicked in, and I gently held the girl's arms, her face was flushed a beet red almost redder than even her face.

"I-uh-a-I-I'm-"

As she regained her ability to speak Japanese, I turned my attention to the notification I just got.

Feat Achieved! Save Manami Aiba from Rockshot and get her to fall in love with you

+1x Silver Ability Gacha Ticket

Wait already? Fall in love? What the hell? Manami Aiba...? Shit I definitely remember seeing her before but when? Fuck, why didn't I read past the Overhaul arc? Ugh, I'll figure it out in time I suppose. For now, she is the short and stacked- holy shit she's stacked.

Now that I'm closer to her, I noticed that her body was, how to put it? Incredibly voluptuous. How do you become so delightfully thick with a body so short I had no idea, but safe to say I was definitely.

"Y-yes, I'm Manami Aiba, I-I mean I'm fine! T-thank you for saving me."

I chuckled and gave her a light smile.

"Well, nice to meet you too miss Aiba, I'm Kotaro Hakari, I'm glad you are alright. I wouldn't feel much like a hero if I let a pretty girl get hurt in front of me."

I didn't know it was possible for a human being to blush so deeply. I laid it on a little thickly since I knew she already fell in love with me, but I didn't expect it to be this effective. Her self confidence must be spectacularly low for her to act like this, I almost felt bad.

"M-me p-pretty!?"

She looked about ready to fall over again as her eyes spun, and I calculated my next move, it would be a shame if I didn't get to see her again, especially when she was obviously someone important or would be someone important.

"Yep, very pretty. If I could, I'd ask you for a date."

I let the words sit for a few seconds, waiting until the flustered girl regained her bearings.

"A d-date? W-with me?"

As a show, I turned my head and looked around.

"Well, I don't see any girl prettier than you here."

Her mouth trembled, and she struggled to not let her lips curl, she seemed overdosed on dopamine as she was all but shaking.

"Y-You could! I-I mean, you could ask me on a d-date, I mean can we go on a date p-please? I-I'd like to go now, but I'm a little... underdressed."

Shelookedk down at her hoodie and blushed while nodded with a bright smile.

"I'd love that, let me give you my number, I'd stay here but the police will probably come soon and ask to have a chat with me. Call me ok? I'll be really hurt if you don't."

I quickly pulled out a piece of paper and pen from my bag and wrote down my number and handed it over to Aiba who snatched it as if it was a morsel of food being offered to a starving man.

"Yes! Yes! I definitely will!"

She took out her own phone and typed the number in so fast that I couldn't even see her fingers move.

"I-I'll get going now! I-I have to buy new clothes for our date! P-please excuse me!"

With that she dashed out, due to what I assumed was due to her thinking her current outfit was too ugly. I stood in place as the other customers finally approached.

She was both cute in appearance and personality, I think I quite liked her.

Tomorrow seems like it will be very fun.

A/N: Blood Manipulation is a god tier pull, for me anyway, because it allows me to write one of my favorite ability types, and they synergies it has with Hakari's abilities... when he discovers Synergies proper, there is a Synergy here that is absolutely vile. What do you guys think about Greater Hemokinesis? I personally love how creative I can get with it

Manami Aiba, shortstack queen is here! And she is get getting pushed aside this time! That's right, the hopeless romantic has no chance against the manwhore- bad boy ex Yakuza, it's almost like a wattpad story hookline. What did you guys think about Aiba's introduction? I'd love to know.
