After days of long deliberation, Ahmed decided to execute his plan without telling anyone in his family. That night, after the house was submerged in the silence of sleep, he quietly rose, performed ablution, took his small bag, and slipped out under the moonlight.
His journey to Japan was long, but his heart was burning with longing and anxiety at the same time. He arrived in Tokyo at four in the morning, where Mr. Haruki was waiting for him, with a mysterious smile that held a mix of seriousness and cunning.
Ahmed did not rest until eight in the morning, when Mr. Haruki's voice woke him, saying:
"Good morning, Ahmed."
Ahmed replied, smiling:
"Good morning, sir."
Haruki said in a serious tone:
"Get ready, today we will execute the plan. You will meet Misaki's mother, Mrs. Sayuri, who is a determined and strong woman. All you have to do is save her from a staged attack. I will have an acquaintance of mine pretend to attack her, and when you intervene to save her, you will gain her trust... Then introduce yourself to her, and invite her to visit Socotra Island with us."
Ahmed nodded confidently and washed his face in preparation for the mission, while his heart was pounding with a mixture of excitement and fear.
A little later, everything was ready. Ahmed stood on one of Tokyo's quiet streets, watching from afar as Mrs. Sayuri walked calmly, carrying some groceries. Suddenly, an unknown man appeared and aggressively approached her, trying to steal her bag.
At that moment, Ahmed entered the scene as if by coincidence, dashed toward the man, and delivered a light blow that made him flee.
Sayuri stood astonished, then said in a grateful voice:
"Thank you, young man! You saved me."
Ahmed smiled gently and said:
"It's my pleasure, madam. My name is Ahmed Al-Ammari."
But the look of astonishment did not leave her face, and she quickly asked him sharply:
"What is my daughter's name?"
He replied confidently:
"Her name is Misaki."
Sayuri stepped back, astonishment growing in her eyes.
"And what is my husband's name? And what is his job?"
Ahmed replied without hesitation:
"His name is Haruki, and he is... a gang leader."
Sayuri gasped softly, her confusion increasing. Then she said slowly:
"And a final question... what is my name?"
Ahmed froze for a moment. He spoke to himself in a whisper she could barely hear:
Should I tell her the truth? Or pretend ignorance?
Then he raised his head and said with hesitation:
"Actually... I don't know your name, madam."
And before he could finish his words, he received a light tap on his head from her, as she said with anger mixed with surprise:
"You audacious boy! You know everything about me except my name?"
Ahmed laughed shyly, whispering:
"Then... you are Mrs. Sayuri, aren't you?"
Her features softened a little, then she gave him a penetrating look and said:
"Yes, I am Sayuri. Now tell me, why do I see something in your eyes that resembles my daughter's eyes?"
Ahmed hesitated for a moment then said in a confident voice:
"Because I came from afar... to invite all of you to a gathering of the two families on Socotra Island."
