Shaking off the feeling of desolation, Vaalk proceeded to walk to his home… if you could call it that.
It was a cave, a small cave he woke up in. He still doesn't know how he ended up here or if this Goblin was already existing in the tribe, but the rest of the goblins don't treat him like an outsider.
They do weirdly look at him whenever he's outside, but it's not the look you'd give a stranger. He guessed that the current goblin's body he was inhabiting was an infamous goblin in the village and probably a wastrel.
Vaalk wasn't aware that the reason the goblins looked at him weirdly was because of how he'd walked around the village earlier like a crazy person…
That… or this was a new body that was created from scratch, and every other person's mind was messed with so they would accept him.
Vaalk chuckled as his thoughts got to this point, although it wouldn't be far-fetched if it were true, but he subconsciously resisted the idea of someone so powerful, they could kill him in his original world, create a random body for him, and have an entire village treat him like one of them.
'Wait, that's dumb,' Vaalk paused. 'Yes, it's crazy to imagine, but doesn't my current body prove that there are powers out there so great that creating a body and twisting the minds of a bunch of random goblins wouldn't be as hard as I was thinking.'
Vaalk shivered at the sheer thought of it. 'I can't be thinking of that right now, it's too far away for me.'
"I know I saw it somewhere around… oh, there it is," he held a small dagger in his hand, one he saw in his cave after he woke up here.

The dagger, which once felt like a normal blade before he unlocked his system, now made him stronger and faster. He wondered if this was a boon he got from the system or if the dagger was just special.
"I'll check that out later. Now that I've gotten a weapon, it's finally time to check things out." Vaalk tucked the dagger away and left the cave in anticipation.
The cave Vaalk lived in was at the edge of the village, walking along the walls of the village until he made his way to the entrance and into the vast swath of trees.
'The Shaman mentioned that the warriors often patrolled the vicinity of the village, killing the occasional stray beast that came too close. I should keep my activities close to the area around the village, as there wouldn't be anything powerful enough to overwhelm me. Safety first.' Vaalk thought as he took his first step into the forest in anticipation.
For what felt like hours, he roamed carefully with light steps, as goblins weren't heavy to begin with, or tall, he found it quite easy to be stealthy.
He took the opportunity to try out his analysis skill on everything; he saw some rodents, insects, and the occasional trap. The last one came as a surprise to him, as he wasn't expecting his skill to be able to identify hidden traps.
Spotting what seemed to be hoof prints and an occasional broken branch, he slowed his steps, crouching low, not fully aware of how his stance and breathing changed as the movements came to him instinctively. He silently followed the tracks until they led him to a clearing.
Until he saw what made the tracks, eating some berries off a bush

It was a relatively large beast, much bigger than anything he'd seen up close. "A level 5 beast, I can take it." His mind raced, but he was strangely calm and surprisingly confident of his chances against a beast that was not only bigger than him but also outleveled him.
Gripping his dagger, he could feel the extra stats flowing through him, making him stronger and faster. He felt more certain of his ability to take down the boar.
He watched the boar, waiting for an opportunity; he didn't know what it was going to be or how long it would take, but he was sure he would know when it came.

"Huh," caught off guard by the system notification, he made some noise which drew the boar's attention.
The boar snorted and lifted its head. Not wanting to waste any more time, he darted at the boar from its flank, slashing it. The beast squealed, spinning to face him. Vaalk retreated, and the beast followed, charging at him like a truck. Vaalk was caught off guard by its quick response.
He dove into a dodge roll at the last moment, moving away from the charge, letting it crash headfirst into a tree. He recovered quickly, circled the boar, slashing at its hind leg. The boar buckled, now slower than before; it couldn't keep up with Vaalk's nimble movements.
He went around the boar, wearing it down more with quick strikes and evading whenever the beast struck back. Finally, he lunged towards it when it got too tired from the countless wounds, the blood loss, and the excessive movements.
Vaalk drove the dagger deep into its throat. The boar collapsed with a thud, blood pooling underneath it.

He stood over the carcass as his chest heaved. He was in disbelief the entire time; he acted based on instincts, instincts he never knew he had. He stared at the boar, whose size dwarfed him by at least a head.
He had leveled up twice; he was ecstatic but a bit confused. When he calmed down enough to remember to absorb the boar with his gluttony skill, he heard a rustle behind him. He made a sharp turn, his dagger raised.
Another wild boar had crept up on him while he wasn't paying attention, but he could tell this one was different; that much was obvious when he noticed it was almost 3 times the size of the one he had just killed.
