Dark Creek, for all its continental infamy, didn't harbor a mall or grocery store. There used to be a vast departmental store complex in the heart of town before Xander took over leadership and decided with his full chest to drive the territory to poverty. Now the ransacked, delapidated building loomed as hideout for thieves, rebels and rogues.
Now, about the market, it came as a weekly affair. In the village closest to the boundary, pulling traders, shoppers and wares from all over the territory. Nothing ceremonious about it. Just a necessary evil.
