Audrey felt strange.
Light. Pure. Free. Her body weightless and unhindered in any way. The bruises and cuts from her ordeal since the start of the trial vanished. No pain, no hurt. Even her head wallowed within the clouds.
Like what being high on an ecstatic drug would feel like.
It could only be a trance.
A trance of the strangest yet most beautiful kind.
The world around her was reduced to colors of light and sparks. The cave walls shimmered. Not like the crystal chamber. The walls shone with a dark green light that came from deep within itself. The ground also.

I don't have a body. No arms, no legs. Not even a head.
But still, I feel everything.
The trickle of springs in distant chambers. The scuttling of burrowing creatures. The whisper of wind through hollows.
And what's with the colors? The walls are green. The waters deep blue. Even the air has a silvery shade to it.
