Chapter 61
Xavier's POV
The sound of the clinking of glasses rented the air and the thick smell of wine, cocktail and all kinds of alcohol rented the air that evening.
I was currently surrounded by about four to five elders from this pack who wanted to speak to me concerning matters of politics.
Their conversation was all about how to network and create a better alliance and bond with likes of myself and others who were considered worthy and fit for the game. It was just as I'd expected and imagined.
The loud chatter from all sides of the hall roamed my ears and even while each one of them took turns explaining their pack matters and things they'd want me to be aware of, I couldn't help but lose focus at intervals.
Zara wasn't back in the hall yet.
It's been over twenty minutes and she wasn't back from the restroom. What could be going on? Was she probably caught up with something else that had caught her interest outside the four walls of the hall?
