A few seconds later, a woman materialized before them.

Mito slowly opened her eyes and gazed at the group standing before her.
"Ah… Hashirama, Tobirama, and… Tsunade. Orochimaru too."
She immediately recognized her husband and brother-in-law. As for Tsunade and Orochimaru—their appearances hadn't changed much over the years, though Orochimaru seemed oddly… more handsome now?
Her gaze shifted to the last figure. He looked a bit like Madara, but the chakra and aura around him were vastly different. The only thing she could discern for sure was that he was definitely an Uchiha.
Uchiha Hikaru stepped forward and respectfully introduced himself.
"Grandma Mito, you can just call me Uchiha Hikaru. I'm Tsunade's partner."
Mito blinked and turned to Tsunade with a raised brow, an unmistakable look of curiosity on her face.
Clearly, that was a topic she intended to explore in private later.
Tobirama stepped forward before anyone else could speak.
"Sister-in-law, I figured sooner or later someone would drag us old bones back into the world of the living using this jutsu. And now even I've been reanimated."
"Tell me—what's happened to the village?"
Just as Hashirama opened his mouth to explain, Tobirama cut him off immediately and took control of the conversation.
"There's no need to go into detail. I just want you to help redesign the village's barrier system and strengthen it."
"There's some trouble going on, but my brother and I will handle it. We're leaving the defense of Konoha in your hands."
Hashirama, who had been visibly anxious, relaxed the moment Tobirama said that. He silently nodded to himself, deeply grateful.

Mito nodded, though she glanced at Hashirama again and raised an eyebrow. Something was off. He was hiding something.
They'd been together since long before Konoha was founded. After decades of living side-by-side, Mito knew her husband well—especially since she also possessed Kagura's Mind Eye, allowing her to sense emotions clearly.
Right now, Hashirama was radiating a "narrowly escaped disaster" kind of energy.

Tobirama's eyes lit up instantly—mission accomplished. He turned sharply and pointed at Hashirama with righteous fury.
"Sister-in-law, you don't know the half of it! Back when Tsunade was little, Big Brother used to send her to me to ask for money to 'buy food.' I thought maybe you weren't feeding her properly or something."
"But do you know what he really did with that money?"
"He took little Tsunade gambling!"
"That's why she became addicted! It's all because of him!"
Mito calmly shut off Kagura's Mind Eye right then and there.
An ominous aura enveloped her entire body like a storm cloud gathering over a battlefield—but it was focused on exactly two people: Hashirama and Tsunade.
"Tobirama, Hikaru, Orochimaru—you three, leave the room. I have some family matters to deal with."
Tsunade tried to casually follow Uchiha Hikaru out, pretending to know nothing.
SLAP!
Mito's hand landed firmly on Tsunade's shoulder. She stood frozen, trembling slightly, and turned pleading eyes toward Hikaru and Tobirama.

Tobirama, however, gave her a confident thumbs-up.

The three men stepped out of the secret chamber. The moment the door shut, voices echoed from within:
"SENJU HASHIRAMA! So you think you're clever now, huh?! Can't get gambling money from me anymore, so you dragged your granddaughter into it?!"
"What is it, you're not good enough at gambling, so you corrupted Tsunade instead?!"
"Kneel!"
THUD!
KLANG!
The sound of two people hitting the ground with their knees echoed out.
Outside, Tobirama tried his best to hold back his laughter.
"I didn't say you could stand back up. Stay down."
A moment later—
"Mito!" Hashirama pleaded, still kneeling. "Please calm down!"
"You—STAND UP?! I WAS TALKING TO YOU! WHO SAID YOU COULD STAND?!"
BANG!
Tobirama finally couldn't take it anymore. He activated a soundproof barrier around himself, Hikaru, and Orochimaru and leaned back against the wall, laughing uncontrollably.
"Pfft—HAHAHAHA! I knew it. Sister-in-law always had a way to keep Big Brother in check!"
"Haha~ Hashirama still looks like that spineless husband with tracheitis~"
Uchiha Hikaru chuckled, a realization dawning in his mind.
So that's why Tsunade and Kushina both ended up with such fiery personalities. It all started with Mito...
Good thing I've got a different role in this family. I'm not like Hashirama. If she tries anything, I'll just push her down and settle it that way.
More than half an hour later, Hashirama stumbled out of the chamber looking completely defeated—no trace of the legendary First Hokage remained.
Tobirama threw an arm around his shoulder casually.
"Brother, you know I didn't do this to cause trouble. But hiding this from sister-in-law? That's dangerous."
"If she found out later, the fallout would be even worse. I was thinking of your mental health. This was all for your own good~"
Hashirama was so touched he burst into tears and hugged Tobirama.
"Waaah~ Tobirama! I totally misunderstood you! You really do care about your big brother!"
"You were right… I feel so much better after being yelled at by Mito…"
Uchiha Hikaru silently gave Tobirama a thumbs-up.
