Chapter 90 - The Luan and the Lion

Chapter 90: The Luan and the Lion

At that moment, Yu Xiaogang was meticulously studying his masterpiece, "The Ten Core Competencies of a Spirit," the product of over ten years of painstaking effort. He was filled with both anticipation and trepidation—anticipation that it would make him a renowned Grandmaster, and trepidation that its unverified theories would be met with controversy.

"Xiao Gang, still worrying?" The cabin door creaked open, and Bibi Dong walked in, fresh from inspecting the fleet. She was clad head-to-toe in golden armor, her proud figure on full display. Even with her helmet on, her exquisite face was visible, as beautiful as a goddess of war.

Upon seeing her, Yu Xiaogang was dazed for a few seconds before turning away, a familiar feeling of inferiority washing over him. He feigned a sigh. "No, I'm just not used to being at sea for so long."

Bibi Dong knew he was putting on a brave front. She gently comforted him. "Don't worry, I've read your theory. I believe it will certainly cause a strong reaction in the Spirit Master world."

Yu Xiaogang opened his mouth but didn't know what to say. Just then, a loud shout came from outside. "Sea God Island is ahead!"

"Stay in the cabin, Xiao Gang. Don't run around. I'll be right back," Bibi Dong said before her figure flashed and disappeared.

At Sea God Island...

At the summit of a tall peak stood a temple carved from white jade. Inside, the High Priestess of Sea God Island, Bo Saixi, sat gracefully on her throne, holding the Sea God Scepter. In the center of the hall, an old man and a young woman stood side by side.

"High Priestess Bo Saixi," the old man bowed respectfully, "enemies have invaded our island."

"Who dares?" Bo Saixi's voice was majestic yet melodious.

"Golden banners, marked with the Seraphim emblem. It should be Spirit Hall," the woman in the pink dress replied.

Spirit Hall? Hearing the name, Bo Saixi finally opened her eyes. "Is Qian Daoliu on the ship?"

"Sea Witch only detected four Titled Douluo auras. The High Priest of Spirit Hall was not found," the woman said.

Bo Saixi felt a pang of disappointment. If Qian Daoliu himself had come, she would have thought more highly of him. But he hadn't. This meant the attack was not his order, but that of his arrogant son, Qian Xunji. Qian Daoliu, she thought coldly, it seems you ultimately couldn't control your precious son.

She stood up gracefully. "Pass down the order: show no mercy."

The weather at sea turned in an instant. Dark clouds gathered and heavy rain poured down. On one side stood the Sea Spirit Masters, led by Sea Dragon and Sea Witch, two of the Seven Sacred Pillar Douluo. Opposite them stood over two thousand Spirit Masters from Spirit Hall, led by Bibi Dong and four Titled Douluo.

No one in Spirit Hall's fleet perceived the true danger. They were all brimming with fighting spirit, eager to win glory.

"Holy Maiden, it seems these Sea Spirit Masters are unwilling to be assimilated," Demon Bear Douluo said with a disdainful glance at his opponents, whose spirit power was only around level 91 or 92.

"Order the attack," Demon Wolf Douluo said impatiently.

Bibi Dong looked to the other two Titled Douluo, who nodded in unison. "In that case, I will entrust this battle to the Elders," she said. "All Spirit Masters of Spirit Hall, listen to my command—"

Just as she was about to give the order, a deep voice exploded in the air.

"Stop."

The voice was not loud, but the power it contained made every Spirit Master on both sides tremble involuntarily. Even the six Titled Douluo were no exception. Only a Peak Douluo at level 97 or above could emit such a sound.

A low boom erupted as two rays of light, one red and one blue, swept over them, landing between the two armies. Two tall figures were revealed. One was a handsome, middle-aged man in a green High Priest's robe. The other was an older man with a golden mane of hair and a face like a lion, exuding an overwhelming, aggressive aura.

"It's the Third and Fourth Worships!"

Recognizing the newcomers, every Spirit Master from Spirit Hall—including Bibi Dong and the four Titled Douluo—instantly knelt on one knee.
