Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2 - The CONCERT

She landed in Seoul looking like a broke K-drama extra-the kind who dies in episode one so the male lead can get more emotional trauma.

Her hair? Greasy.

Eyes? Red.

Stomach? Upset, as always.

She forgot to book a hotel because her main focus was on buying the concert tickets.

She began her desperate hunt for a hotel... but most were pre-booked.

She was three seconds away from either fainting or fighting someone. Maybe both.

But little did she know, her K-drama instincts would drag her to a nearby sauna.

"I came here for healing," she mumbled.

She took a shower.

Threw on baggy jeans and a hoodie with her bias's face printed on the front. (Yes, Ryu. Right there on her chest. As it should be.)

All done now.

"Let's rock the concert!" she shouted.

Everyone gave her side-eyes. But she was shameless.

She forgot how to be embarrassed.

She even forgot to eat.

What did you expect from her?

She made it inside the venue-somehow. God knows how.

Blinding lights.

Girls crying.

Screams so loud they could crack glass.

"This is it. This is my religion."

She was sweating through her hoodie, dying of hunger, pain, and delulu energy.

She fought for her life in Row 127, Seat 555

"I might pass out, but if I do-make sure I fall forward.

What if Ryu catches me like they do in K-dramas?"

Delulu never stops.

And then-

THE KINGS appeared.

The music hit.

The screams exploded.

Serena's brain? Gone.

Her soul? Left the concert stadium.

They were hotter than her will to live.

Cue dramatic smoke.

Lights. Music. Boom.

And out they came...

🎤 Ryu

Her bias. Her downfall. The man with a voice so good it should come with a warning. 28 and hot and single.

Jet-black hair. Center of the stage. Leader. Tatted. Dangerous.

He looked directly into the crowd, grabbed the mic, and smirked like he knew exactly what the fuck he was doing.

"What's up, Seoul..."

He stepped forward, hit that first high note-

And Serena's entire nervous system collapsed.

"I could happily die for this man."

🎤 Leo

Brown hair. Calm and loud at the same time. 26 and Sexy as hell.

A freaking gentleman.

He knows how to treat a girl right-everywhere. (If you know, you know.)

His voice could make you touch heaven and come back crying.

A guitarist with fingers that play sin.

🎤 Max

Red hair. Rap line. Shirt 40% unbuttoned.

24 and a Sin.

He winked.

Serena forgot to breath and almost died.

"If he makes eye contact with me, I'm throwing my entire body on stage."

🎤 Shio

Silver hair. Japanese. Raps like he's cursing your bloodline.

25 and Nonchalant.

Stone-cold stare.

He looked into the camera like it owed him money.

He gave:

"I know you're looking at me, and I like it...

But I won't give you shit." Energy.

🎤 KJ

Blonde. Main dancer. 27 and Body roll addict.

"Yeah, I know I'm hot. Wanna say it or scream it?"

He threw a smirk at the camera, tilted his head slightly, and then...

BAM- body roll that started at the hips and ended in hell.

"Oh. I'm not surviving this concert.

Someone write my will." -Serena

🎤 Haru

Light brown fluff. Maknae. 22 and a Baby face. Loud and a prankster.

He smiled and the entire stadium filled with imaginary butterflies.

Serena got lost in that smile and came back to life after a million light years.

He twirled his mic, winked, and-

BAM. A thousand fans passed away instantly.

🎤 Jun

Black hair and beautiful aura

23 and Australian-Korean.

He said "Let's gaur" in his deep Aussie accent and Serena screamed.

Not yelled.

Screamed.

"He could ruin me in two languages and I'd thank him in a third."

Emotionally unstable.

Physically vibrating.

Legs? Gone.

Voice? Shattered.

Dignity? Never existed.

"I don't need a boyfriend. I need to sit on that stage and cry."

She jumped.

Waved.

Screamed.

And possibly accidentally slapped a girl with her lightstick.

Oops.

The concert ended. Her soul didn't.

She floated out of the venue like a K-drama extra who just died in the first scene of a zombie outbreak.

She bought tteokbokki with soju from a nearby stall.

"Finally. I get to eat."

She opened her wallet... and realized she was broke.

So she ran away with a soju bottle in one hand.

"I'll come back and pay... when I'm rich and famous.

Probably never."

She walked-humming The Kings' songs-

Tears in her eyes, hunger in her soul, slightly tipsy, and no idea where she was.

AND THEN-

A CAR.

TIRES SCREECHING.

LIGHTS FLASHING.

Serena turned like a movie heroine.

Eyes wide.

Heart racing.

Her phone buzzed with low battery

The headlights cut through the darkness like blades.

Tires screeched.

She turned slowly, still holding the soju like a damn trophy.

"Huh?"

She was in the middle of the street.

Frozen.

The red car was speeding-fast, loud, unstoppable.

"Well... at least I saw them live."

The car got closer.

"Even if I die now, I won't care."

"Ryu..."

And then-

CRASH.

Glass. Metal. Gravity.

A scream.

Her body flying, spinning, weightless.

She hit the ground hard. Then-Nothing.

Time froze. The world stopped.

All she saw was white.

Her final thought was calm.

"If this is death...

Please let Ryu be the one waiting for me on the other side."
