Yuta discovered that there were only Kido books below number 90 available. Anything above that was missing-it seemed someone had already taken them.
"It seems that in order to learn the Kido above number 90, another method needs to be found."
Before that, though, he focused on what was in front of him.
He calmed himself and began reading each book one by one.
[You have successfully understood hado 63 "Thunder Roar Cannon"]
[You successfully comprehended hado 73 "Double Lotus Blue Fire Pendant"]
[You successfully understood Hado 88 "Flying Dragon Strikes the Thief and Sky-shaking Thunder Cannon"]

After finishing with the Kido books, Yuta returned them to the shelf and walked to the third-floor glass window.
From this height, he could see everyone outside clearly.
Some sat studying diligently in the library-focused on Kido or swordsmanship. Others rushed past in pairs or alone, likely carrying out assigned duties. A few held stacks of materials, unmistakably instructors on their way to teach their next class.
After graduating from the Shino Spiritual Arts Academy, these people chose paths-joining the Gotei 13th Division, or the Kido Corps, or becoming part of the Onmitsukidō. Whichever they chose, the role would likely last their entire lifetime.
Kuchiki Rukia's words echoed again in his head.
His past...
In Soul Society, he didn't have one.
No parents. No family.
Who are you? Where do you come from? Where are you headed?
These questions had followed him into this world of Shinigami. Since crossing over, he hadn't stopped long enough to think about them deeply. The tide of events dragged him forward before he ever had the chance.
No matter what he wanted-
There was one thing Yuta held in his heart.
Though not urgent, it surfaced from time to time.
He wanted to return to Earth.
See how the little girl who was once in college was doing now.
He remembered her-still clinging to his arm as a child, calling him Brother Yuta, with that silver bracelet always on her wrist.
Check on his parents too-see if they had aged... whether their bodies and health had deteriorated without his help. He could no longer return their love with action or presence, but he wondered if thinking of them now counted for anything at this point.
Would staying too long in Soul Society cause those memories to fade?
Even if he couldn't recognize them again when he returned-if only he could know they were well... it might be enough.
Yuta shook his head slightly. The dust of that world lingered heavy in his chest…
Even if he achieved enlightenment beyond mortals-it would take decades just to scrape off what clung to him from life on Earth.
Yet-even with incomplete paths and unsettled emotions-he held no regrets.
To travel across worlds... perhaps speaking to the Soul King would help. There was no rush-he'd figure it out eventually.
Now that he was here-he wanted to experience everything this world offered. Whether it was rising to dominance or finding pleasure beside beautiful women… there was no reason to hold back. He wanted to witness Aizen Sōsuke's elegance, Yhwach's fury, and Yamamoto Genryūsai's strength. Meet the Soul King. See what secrets the Four Noble Houses held. Perhaps even explore Hell itself.
And the women too... Unohana Retsu, Shihōin Yoruichi, Kuchiki Rukia, Matsumoto Rangiku-women as unforgettable as they were dangerous.
To come here and not live? That would be the true waste.
Yuta gathered his thoughts and stepped out the door on the third floor. The two guards standing watch noticed nothing strange about him from beginning to end.
Afternoon sun met him as he walked out of the library.
For Shinigami on break-it was time for food and rest.
Yuta left Shino Academy grounds without hesitation. As for classes…
He had skipped before-even Kuchiki's class-so there was no guilt at ignoring others'.
However, Seireitei wasn't familiar territory for food hunting. Rangiku likely knew plenty of good spots... so he decided to find her instead.
She'd taken him to Sixth Division before-it'd be easy to go again now.
When the guards at Sixth Division saw him, one waved him in immediately.
"You're here for Vice Captain Matsumoto. I'll inform her right away."
Before long, Matsumoto Rangiku appeared from inside the division's building. She looked freshly finished with morning work; her clothes were slightly rumpled and her hair loose in waves around her face. The moment she spotted Yuta, her eyes lit up. She rushed toward him and wrapped him tight into her chest-pressing his face straight into her curves without hesitation.
"Wow! Brother Yuta actually came to visit me? That's great!"
"Come in and sit down."
His face was buried in softness so smooth it almost felt unreal. Although it was comfortable-it made it nearly impossible to speak clearly-
"Is there anywhere good to eat around here?"
"I'll handle it." Rangiku stood back up and gave her chest a light pat-motion swaying gently with her relaxed confidence.
"You asked the right person! I know this barbecue place-the wild boar is amazing."
They made their way together to the restaurant she mentioned. After sitting for a while, the table was filled with prepped barbecue and cooking trays. They grilled slowly-watching fat drip off charred meat-and placed pieces over cold lettuce before eating each bite hot off the grill.
When she bit down into one-crisp lettuce gave way to juicy meat-flavorful fat blending into every chew-
Rangiku couldn't help sighing with pleasure-
"Mm! So good!"
Yuta only ate enough to be polite. To someone who hadn't tasted much else-it would seem delicious. To him-it was just average at best. Especially since mishandling wild boar left it with stronger odors and tough texture that spoiled its potential entirely.
"The barbecue here is too ordinary," Yuta said simply. "I'll take you to Earth sometime and make you proper food."
"This is normal?" Matsumoto asked with visible doubt in her eyes.
"But if we just go wandering into the living world-we might break Soul Society's rules."
Outside of Division Thirteen's purification squads-no Shinigami were allowed to enter Earth without strict permission. Even they had restrictions about avoiding contact with humans altogether-not even letting their existence be known. No one really explained why-the rules just had to be followed.
"It doesn't matter," Yuta said calmly. "What matters is making sure humans don't find out we're Shinigami. I'll make us spirit skeleton disguises-we'll blend in easily enough."
Matsumoto didn't argue further. She nodded-and kept grilling meat with casual focus while the fire crackled softly between them.
After food and drinks were finished-Yuta checked his pocket and noticed how light it felt again.
He had fifteen thousand Kan left…
"So-what about that way of making money you mentioned earlier? Let's hear it."
Matsumoto wiped her lips with practiced ease-then smiled.
"Swordsmanship competition."
