From the start of this book until now, it's been a little over a month—a winding road, but here we are. Honestly, the results so far are beyond anything I expected.
First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank all the awesome readers who've stuck with the story and followed along. Thank you!
I'm not particularly talented, so let me start by bowing to all you amazing readers. As a total newbie writing a novel for the first time, there are definitely going to be issues with the content.
If I mess up, I'll take it on the chin. I've been carefully reading basically every comment.
I'll try to fix any problems that arise, and make the upcoming chapters as enjoyable as possible. Even though this is my first novel, I'm very clear about the purpose:
Web novels are part of the service industry—only if the dish tastes good will the readers be willing to pay for it.
Special thanks, of course, go to my editor Zheyuka Kaka, who's provided me with a lot of help, especially during those moments of doubt about the content.
Scallion! Layers!
1! 5!
Honestly, I have a lot of feelings about this journey, but writing them all out feels kind of corny. Recently, I've been moving between cities frequently (which you could probably tell from my IP address), and the updates have been unstable—let alone the promised bonus chapters. I'm sorry for that.
Finally, here's the important part:
The premium release time is Wednesday at 12:05 PM.
The plan is to release 3 chapters at that time, and 2 more at midnight—a total of 10,000 words.
Here's a quick rundown of the post-premium update schedule:
If the book gets between 1–800 first-time subscribers, I'll maintain a stable daily update of 2 chapters (4,000 words).
If we hit 1,000 subs, I'll do 3 chapters daily (6,000 words).
Anything beyond that is more than I dare hope for—but if we somehow reach 1,500 subs, then you'll be getting 8,000+ words per day.
Now that all other matters are settled, my full attention is on this book. Stats will be collected 24 hours after the premium chapters drop, and I'll post a bonus chapter to report the results.
Again, I want to sincerely thank all the amazing readers who have supported this book so far. Thank you so much.
Okay, no more rambling—here are a few friend recommendations for other new books:
"I Was Reborn Just to Chase My Sister-in-Law"
Recommendation: Urban rebirth romance. Focuses on healing and "soft rice king" vibes (i.e., relying on women). Author's previous 2.5-million-word book got banned, so this is the fresh restart.
"After Divorce, I Became the Sect Leader of the Hehuan Sect"
Recommendation: "I declare the Hehuan Sect to be the number one sect under heaven. Any objections?"
"In Danmachi, I'm Uchiha Sasuke"
Recommendation: Sharingan + ninjutsu + Danmachi fanfic.
"Are You Kidding Me? You Call This Samba Football?"
Recommendation: A tribute.
"The Warlock: Starting with a Necromancer Bloodline"
Recommendation: DND-inspired, Amber-style storytelling.
Lastly, huge thanks to the readers who've supported me with monthly votes and recommendations, including:
Cheese Oolong Coffee, A Thousand Miles Laughing in the Dust, God of Food, Void ZIO, Shadow Master Zed, But You're Gone, Da Dongkun, Flowers in the Rain Without a Moon, Little Book-Eating Ant, Three Young Men, and that top supporter with the long number name who still hasn't changed it!
There are too many to name, but also shout-out to Erkaren, who I caught commenting on other novels (why aren't you reading mine, huh? Grocery store, you!).
Once again, thank you all so much for sticking with this book!
