Grace was still in his arms even after 20 minutes. Regulus had used magic - even though he wasn't allowed to - to rearrange the shelves in the class, so they wouldn't get in trouble.
After a few more minutes of peaceful silence he spoke coming up with an idea.
"You know" He started. "If you want to get back at your brother, I may have an idea."
"Oh yeah? And what idea may that be?" She asked looking up.
"Just watch" He winked.
He started to take off his Slytherin tie, then her Hufflepuff one, and switching them. Putting his around her neck and hers around his. He then messed up his hair and started to unbotton the top buttons of his shirt when Grace finally realised what his 'idea' was.
"Oh I see what you're doing" She smiled, and started to mess up her hair as well before moving to her uniform - crinkling it and messing up her skirt too.
Regulus then started to unbutton the buttons of her shirt making sure that the love bites he gave her last time were visible. Grace, getting an idea, moved forward as she started to kiss his neck and the collar of his shirt, leaving a few of her signature dark - berry colored - lipstick.
"Good idea" He whispered looking at her work before looking at her.
When they heard footsteps coming their way they knew that it was James and the rest of the boys, so Regulus smirked.
"One more thing" He said before walking towards her as she started to move back but stopped once her back hit the wall. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn't wipe the ridikulus smile off of her face.
(AN: I know that's not how you spell ridiculous but it's a reference to that one scene with Draco)
"Hands up please." He whispered looking in her eyes as she did as she was told. He held both her hands above her head with his left hand and moved his right hand towards her hips to untuck her shirt a little bit and then doing the same with his.
She stiffened slightly at the touch getting butterflies, and Regulus smiled at the reaction. He then leaned down and whispered in her ear, "you think you can be quite for me, mi amór?"
It was like she lost her voice, so she settled for nodded as a gasp escaped when Regulus started kissing her on the lips. He broke the kiss and kissed her once at the corner of her lips, then slowly going down her neck.
When he reached her collar bone - as Grace moved her head up trying not to make any noise - the door burst open.
"What in Merlin's name is going on here?" Sirius shouted. "Is that who I think it is?"
He sounded so panicked, Regulus could laugh. Regulus whispered in her ear, "show time"
He winked before turning around to be met with four pairs of eyes looking back at him and Grace.
"You know you really shouldn't abuse Merlin's name like that." He smirked at the looks on their faces as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. Grace detached from the wall and stood next to Regulus - running a hand through her hair.
"You motherfuck-" James started before Regulus interrupted him.
"Actually it's sister, but if you want..." He shrugged.
The two boys then pulled out their wands and pointed it at Regulus who still remained in the same position in bothered.
Remus and Peter tried to stop them but they were both pushed aside. Grace finally came back to her senses and moved in front of Regulus knowing that they wouldn't hurt her.
"Grace, what the hell are you doing?" Peter asked.
"You can get hurt Grace" Remus said.
"They wouldn't hurt me." She reassured. "Would you James? Sirius?"
"We wouldn't hurt you, but we would damn well hurt him" James scowled. "You can't be serious! You're really defending him right now?"
"Okay first off I'm not Sirius. That would be your best friend. And secondly yeah I am defending him." She said standing her ground.
She felt a warm hand on her waist as it pulled her back a bit and the grip tightened. She turned her head to look at the boy whom she grew to hate a lot less. His hand was moving up and down her waist which comforted her and she started to relax into his touch. James noticed their little interaction and got angry.
"You better stay away from my sister, Black. Or else you'll regret it" James shouted as Peter held him back to prevent him from jumping Regulus.
"Actually that's a bit hard to do when I took her V-card. Besides she came to me not the other way around." He smirked shrugging at the last sentence.
"You what?" Sirius shouted as if he didn't notice the bites, lipstick stains, switched ties and their messed up uniform. Before Sirius could even take a step Remus immediately pulled him back.
So instead James moved forward ready to fire a spell, but before he could even say the words the door opened.
"What in Merlin's name is going on here?" Lily Evans' voice filled the room. The red head looked around noticing how close Grace and Regulus were standing before moving to look at the four boys. She cast the 'expelliarmus' spell taking the wands from all four of the boys. This caused them to shout in protest but she didn't care.
Lily smiled at her friend reassuring her that everything would be okay and that she would deal with the boys. She immediately understood what was going on after noticing the way they looked at each other and how they both looked like a mess.
Lily shook her head smiling. She knew that Grace and Regulus were sneaking around together even if Grace hadn't told her yet. She sighed and looked at the boy behind her friend.
"Black, would you mind taking Gracie back to her dorm room?" She asked.
James immediately turned his head towards the red head. "Lily-flower, my gorgeous perfect witch, I love you with my whole heart. I really do, and I would do anything for you. But you CANNOT let him take her back after- well after what just happened."
Lily looked at James, and glared.
"For the record I am a prefect and so are you Remus." She turned towards the scarred boy. "Just because they're your friends doesn't mean you can let them do whatever they want. You're a prefect. Start acting like it."
She then turned back to James. "I can and I am. Black is a very capable wizard and Grace will be safe with him. Besides it's none of our business who Grace loses her V-card too or who she falls in love with, so for Merlin's sake, stop butting into her life. She's not a kid anymore. She can take care of herself."
That shut the boys up and Grace smiled gratefully at one of her best friends. Lily smiled back before staring the boys down before they finally gave up knowing that they were screwed.
Grace and Regulus took this as their message to leave, so they walked out with Regulus' hand still around her waist. They walked in silence with Regulus' arm around her shoulders.
"I really hate this stupid rivalry" Grace broke the silence first. "I mean it doesn't make sense. Why does which house you're in have to define who you are? I mean there are nice Slytherins, there are mean Hufflepuffs, there are dumb ravenclaws, and there are weak Gryffindors"
Grace kept on ranting while Regulus nodded along agreeing with her, but he didn't interrupt her even once. He liked listening to her voice. He liked hearing about the things that she told him.
"I agree" Regulus said once Grace was done with her rant.
"Good" She nodded.
Once they reached her common room entrance they stopped. Grace went to take his tie off, but Regulus stopped her.
"Keep it. Think of it as a..." He tried to think of the right word. "souvenir."
Grace smiled, "I'll take good care of it."
"Oh you better otherwise I might have to come for you" Regulus joked.
She lightly pushed his arm but had a grin on her face while he was just laughing. Grace sighed.
"Good night Reggie" She kissed his cheek and turned to go in, but was pulled back when he grabbed her hand spinning her around as she bumped into his chest.
"Reggie, huh?" He kissed her forehead. "That's new. What happened to Black? And my personal favourite: asshole?"
"Oh ha ha" She rolled her eyes. "Fine good night, Black. Is that what you want me to say?"
He smiled warmly meeting her eyes as he said, "Nah I think I like Reggie better."
"Of course you do" She chuckled.
"Mhm" He said before closing the distance between them and kissing her.
Grace put her arms around his neck and played with the hairs at the bottom of his neck while he held her waist. They finally broke the kiss when they ran out of air and instead connected their foreheads with their eyes still closed.
"Do you have to leave?" She asked, sad.
"Yeah" He whispered.
"Oh"
Regulus didn't want to leave but he had to if he didn't want his friends getting suspicious.
"Sorry, mi amór" He said kissing her forehead. "Good night"
And with that, he left leaving Grace alone outside the Hufflepuff common room. She sighed sadly but turned around to tap the barrels in the right order. Once she did that she went in and hid his Slytherin tie in her robes.
She went up the stairs and to her dorm room. Luckily for her Dorcas wasn't here. Most likely she was in the Gryffindor common probably spending the night with Marlene.
Cleo was asleep, and that just left Grace. She also decided to head to bed and tried not to think of how angry and dissapointed James looked.
She put Regulus' tie in the box along with the origami crane and kept it under her bed with a protection charm on it. She then fixed her appearance and decided to head to bed. So she took a quick shower, meaning that she didn't wash her hair, changed and then went to bed after putting her things on the bed side table. She was so tired she couldn't even bring herself to read her book like she usually would every night.
