He clicked on the video, and Zack's screen went black at first, then the Nebula Games logo appeared.
This was a standard opening.
But the next moment.
A sound rang in Zack's ears.
Sizzle... like something falling, then... 'Boom!' a huge bang.
Right after that came quick gunshots, screams, shouts, and explosions.
In the darkness, with the surround sound from the VR game pod, it pulled Zack straight into the war mood.
Even though it was still just a black screen, Zack could already tell.
This was a game totally different from Rainbow Six: Siege.
Because in Rainbow Six: Siege, sure there were explosions and shootouts, but they were mostly fights indoors.
But this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, even though the picture hadn't shown up yet, just the sound effects made him feel the real war atmosphere.
'Move! Move! Hurry!'
'Support! Call for fire support!'
'Attack! Attack!'
'R-P-G!'
'I got hit!'
'Shoot! Shoot!'
'2 o'clock position, request sup...'
In the middle of all the noisy sounds, Zack's screen finally wasn't dark anymore.
Instead, it was blurry.
The sounds were a bit noisy, and his view was a bit fuzzy too.
Then a soldier who was lying on the ground slowly stood up.
But the next second, before he could react.
A bullet shot right through his head.
That's when the classic bullet time scene happened, with the bullet and blood, the camera followed the bullet as it flew by, then slowly pulled back up.
"My God!" As the bullet stretched out, Zack was totally shocked.
What did he see!?
The most famous U.S. government building, the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.!
This was way too crazy!
In an instant, Zack's eyes went wide.
Countless soldiers rushed through the hail of bullets, heavy rain poured in the night, but it couldn't put out the fires burning from the explosions.
The once grand White House was now just ruins.
A fighter jet in the sky strafed the enemies outside the White House like mad, its muzzle flash drawing sharp lines in the air.
But then a roar came: RPG!
With sparks and exhaust, a rocket hit the plane dead on, followed by a massive explosion and bright fireworks in the night.
The whole White House was wrapped in flames of war, only the tattered American flag still waved.
"Holy crap! This is so freaking awesome!"
Eyes wide, Zack yelled in shock.
With the VR's full view and surround sound, the whole war feeling came alive perfectly.
It was just too wild!
Who could've guessed that Lucas made something this insane in a game called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?!
The White House falls!
Zack shouted in his mind, but his whole body was covered in goosebumps from the excitement.
Forget everything else, just this White House falling scene had him pumped up.
Nothing more to say!
While Zack was excited, the video kept playing.
'Why did you do this!? Where did you get the nuke?'
A man with a mustache and a beanie hat took down the enemy with smooth hand-to-hand moves, pinning him to the ground and beating him up.
'Who!?
'Who! Tell me! His name!'
Looking at the beaten enemy on the ground, the officer with the beanie looked cold.
But the guy tied to the chair, even with his mind fuzzy from the punches, still didn't say a word. Then the camera zoomed in.
The look on his face was pure fear.
That's when the phone nearby rang.
"Sir, his phone is ringing."
The soldier handed the phone to the captain.
After answering, the officer with the beanie said nothing, turned around, and shot the prisoner he was questioning right in the head.
'Sir, who was that?' The soldier nearby asked what he was wondering.
'Zakhaev... Imran Zakhaev.' He tossed the phone away, and the officer with the beanie seemed lost in some memory.
As he finished speaking, the screen faded out.
The next shot was from above, a god's-eye view looking down on the land.
It was a city caught in war.
Countless armed helicopters and tank armored vehicles were pulling out.
But right then, a blinding flash burst from the city.
A massive explosion boomed, then a mushroom cloud rose up.
Dust filled the sky, and you could see the shockwave spreading out from the center.
Countless buildings collapsed in seconds, helicopters in the air and tanks on the ground crashed or got flipped and blown up.
When the dust cleared, the city center was a giant crater.
The city got nuked flat!
"My God!" Zack swallowed hard. During that mustache officer's questioning, he had already guessed something.
But he never expected a scene like this. Was this the game's story?
No way!?
The screen flashed to the Middle East, with endless armored troops and fully armed soldiers advancing slowly.
Out in space, an EMP missile launched and hit, breaking apart the space station as astronauts yelled in frustration.
In God of War Square, countless soldiers fought back hard against enemy tanks and armed helicopters, and the Eiffel Tower standing through the bombing crashed into the Seine River.
In the night with lightning and heavy rain, a cruise ship sailing on the ocean got boarded by a special forces team that took out every armed bad guy on board without mercy.
In the vast snow, a thrilling snowmobile chase.
In a hail of bullets, chasing a tank through the city streets, the once busy city turned into ruins under the shelling.
Cars on the streets exploded and burned, setting the whole city on fire.
On a rushing river, speedboats charging against helicopters.
In a mountain village, running for your life from drone bombings.
Almost every explosive action scene you could think of was shown perfectly in this trailer.
Finally, with two nuclear missiles launching into the sky, the game title appeared.
