Sylene frowned, why he feel like he had heard of this description? Peacock green eyes...it's rare. Sylene only nodded and the man looked relaxed after he nods.
"Will I see you often with Regulus here?" Sylene asked before he could stop himself. The beast's warmth was strangely comforting.
"If you accept our sponsorship, then yes."
Sylene sighed, drawing another laugh from Alden.
"We're staying near Alistair Manor. The big building beside it. Regulus would be happy if you visited. We're free tomorrow anyway." He winked.
Sylene cringed, but temptation pricked at him to play with Regulus. He had never once cared to visit Alistair's estate, and truthfully, he didn't even know where it was. "…I'll see what I can do."
His eyes lingered on the lion instead. Red haze flickered in the golden irises—there for a moment, gone the next. When he looked again, it was back, like a strange mirage. Peculiar, unnerving, unique. Perhaps just another side effect of modification.
