Silena had already turned away.

She scoffed, waving a hand. "Now that both your owners are here, I suppose it's time to leave." Her gaze flicked back to Sylene one last time. "Still, I despise sharing a name with a mere hybrid like you. I'll look for your owner myself."

Her lips curved faintly. "Is he some rich merchant? New money, perhaps—"

Handsome—undeniably so. His presence was gentle at first glance, his smile calm. But goosebumps erupted along Silena's arms as a flicker of cold shimmered faintly around him, like frost catching light.
