Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 You are as ridiculous as your bunker (1 more)

After leaving the Mouri Detective Agency, Baishi Hui found a small alley and ducked into it.

He walked along the path towards the main road, taking off his clothes and putting them on inside out.

His original school uniform had been altered to become a double-sided jacket.

When worn normally, it was a Teitan school uniform, but when reversed, it became a black jacket.

Following this, Baishi Hui put on his azu mask, covering half his face, and his entire demeanor changed.

After emerging from the alley, two steps to the side was the main road.

Despite Baishi Hui's attire resembling a wanted criminal, it didn't attract much attention from passersby.

There are many 'spiritual young men' in Beika who are enthusiastic about various bizarre outfits; some even imitate wanted criminals.

So he wasn't worried about being discovered.

Baishi Hui saw someone raise their hand to hail a taxi. As the person opened the car door to get in, he quickly got into the car before them and closed the door behind him.

"Young man, first come, first served!" The driver frowned, clearly disliking such actions.

"Get out." Baishi Hui directly pulled out his Glock and pressed it against the driver's forehead.

"You… you calm down!" The cold sensation instantly panicked the driver. Where had he ever seen such a sight?

He quickly said, "I… I'll get out now!!"

With that, he fumbled to unbuckle his seatbelt, got out of the car, and ran away.

The driver watched as the masked man climbed into the driver's seat, buckled up, and then floored the accelerator, heading for Mihua Wharf.

He hastily pulled out his phone, just about to call the police, when suddenly, with a bang, his phone was knocked away.

He was startled, and the thought of calling the police immediately vanished.

… … … … … … … … … …

Half an hour before the official transaction began.

Baishi Hui arrived at Mihua Wharf.

After finding a place to hide the vehicle, he met up with Akemi.

Akemi led Baishi Hui into a factory building, going up to the second-floor storage area, where they could see the open ground outside through a window.

Akemi whispered, "I just heard a message in a private room at the bar, using the bug you gave me. Someone is going to conduct a transaction here!"

"They said the transaction amount is very large!"

Baishi Hui said excitedly, "Really? Then we'll have to make a killing."

Akemi couldn't help but remind him, "The people involved in the transaction are from the Ni-san Society. If they find out…"

Before she could finish, Baishi Hui interrupted, "As long as they don't find out, it's fine! Just watch from the side, don't worry!"

Seeing his confidence, Akemi didn't say anything more.

They didn't wait long before vehicles started arriving one after another, some sedans, some vans.

One, two, three, four… there were seven vehicles in total!

Nearly fifty people got out of the seven vehicles!

On the other side, fewer vehicles arrived, only six!

Roughly fifty people also got out of those cars.

The empty space was suddenly crowded with over a hundred people.

This immediately stunned Akemi. She frantically explained, "I only knew there was a transaction here; I didn't know so many people would come!!"

"So many people… maybe we should give up this time?"

Baishi Hui chuckled. He waved his hand, signaling Akemi to calm down, and said, "Relax, what's there to be afraid of with just this many people?"

"Besides, what era is it now? Is a large number of people useful?"

"Useless! Look at what they're holding: either baseball bats or water pipes. There aren't even many watermelon knives!"

"This firepower is simply not enough to contend with."

Hearing him say that, Akemi felt he had a point.

Putting everything else aside, just the submachine gun he showed her last time.

All of a sudden, her unease vanished.

Baishi Hui observed for a moment and found that both groups of people were quite organized, so he asked, "Which side is from the Ni-san Society?"

Akemi explained, "They are all from the Ni-san Society."

This made Baishi Hui curious: "If they're all their own people, why do they need to conduct a shady transaction in a place like this?"

Akemi continued, "Although they are all from the Ni-san Society, they serve under different cadres."

"Some time ago… the leader of the Ni-san Society went missing, and they've been fighting fiercely among themselves!"

Baishi Hui finally understood what was going on.

At this moment, he saw some of the subordinates starting to unload boxes from the cars, while on the other side, a few travel bags were also brought over.

Baishi Hui's eyes lit up, eager to act: "The transaction has started! I need to begin my move. You wait here; it's my turn to perform now."

With that, he left the storage room excitedly, not caring about Akemi's reaction.

No man could refuse a hearty battle.

Baishi Hui was no exception.

"Be careful," Akemi couldn't help but remind him.

There was an element of concern, but also a worry about something going wrong.

If he died, she would have to go back to robbing banks again.

Baishi Hui went downstairs, choosing suitable weapons as he went.

After coming down from upstairs, he didn't swagger out.

Baishi Hui was worried he might mess up.

This was his first official operation.

If he messed up here, or accidentally got injured, his cool factor would be gone.

So, he chose a sneak attack!

Baishi Hui quietly arrived at the entrance, watching as the people there had already begun counting the items.

He raised two newly purchased grenade launchers, aimed at the crowd, and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Boom, boom!

The grenades exploded in the crowd, and with a loud bang, a whole section was blown away.

Baishi Hui didn't hesitate, continuing to pull the trigger.

Only the muffled bangs and explosions alternated back and forth.

The transaction personnel cried out in agony: "Run! Run!"

"Someone's attacking!!"

"Where are they? Where are they?!"

"Ah!! My leg, my leg!!"

"Find cover! Hide behind the cars!!"

… … … …

Among those attacked, some were quite clever, calling out to others to find cover.

Baishi Hui watched as they all scattered and hid behind the cars.

This made Baishi Hui scoff, "You are as ridiculous as your cover."

He turned his gun, aimed the grenade launcher at a car, and fired a shot.

With a bang.

Both the people and the car exploded together.
