Chapter 139 - Chapter 139 Fighting (2 more)

Conan Ran towards the cabin, going against the flow of people.

He was searching for 'Hatamoto Gozo' as he went.

The other party was an elderly person with obvious characteristics, making him not difficult to find.

However, Conan didn't find 'Hatamoto Gozo'. Instead, he saw the female attendant who was returning the cleaning cart, walking unhurriedly at the very back.

His heart tightened, and he immediately wanted to make a move.

But there were too many people here, making it difficult to act.

Conan thought for a moment, blended into the crowd, and pretended to be escaping with them.

He slowed his pace, deliberately falling behind the others.

Before long, that female attendant walked in front of him.

A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Conan's mouth. He slowly raised his arm, flicked up the sight on his watch, and locked onto the female attendant's neck.

Just as he was about to fire the tranquilizer dart, he was suddenly lifted up!

"!!!" Conan was startled. He looked back and saw a female attendant with dyed blonde hair but an ordinary appearance staring at him with a playful look.

"Oh dear~~~boy, what are you doing?" Vermouth asked. At this moment, she had removed her 'Hatamoto Gozo' disguise and changed to the face of an ordinary girl.

"N-Nothing!" Conan quickly pressed down the sight on his watch and forced a smile as he said.

"Really? I don't believe it... I saw it very clearly." Vermouth pointed to the watch on Conan's wrist and said, "You were aiming that watch at the lady in front!"

"No, no, you're mistaken!" Conan quickly denied.

"I'm not mistaken." Vermouth said, and forcibly snatched the watch from Conan's hand.

Conan struggled with all his might, but a child's strength ultimately couldn't overcome an adult's.

Moreover, the other party was a well-trained assassin.

He could only watch as this female attendant snatched the tranquilizer watch away.

Vermouth pressed the crown, and with a click, the watch cover popped open.

Looking at the cover which was like a sight, she instantly understood and said, "So that's it... something similar to a sniper rifle. Pressing it again is to fire?"

Saying that, she aimed the watch cover at Conan.

Conan forced himself to calm down and said in a child's tone, "It's just a toy! It won't fire."

"Is that so? Then I'll give it a try." Vermouth said, pressing the crown.

However, the watch did not shoot out a tranquilizer dart.

Conan didn't speak, he just blinked his eyes and looked at Vermouth, his face seemingly saying, "See? I told you it was a toy."

"Heh." Vermouth chuckled softly and said, "Perhaps I'm opening it the wrong way... Is it like this?"

Saying that, she pressed the crown and twisted it forward.

Thwip!

A thin needle flew out from the watch's small hole and pricked Conan's neck.

Conan didn't utter a single unnecessary word; he tilted his neck and fainted.

"Heh heh... You have quite a few little gadgets." Vermouth smiled faintly.

"Vermouth, what are you doing holding this child?" At this moment, Kir also noticed the movement behind her and stared in surprise at the child in the other's arms.

Vermouth said confidently, "Don't you think holding a child will give me priority to board the lifeboat?"

Kir couldn't help but slap her forehead, saying annoyingly, "You're still more thoughtful... Why didn't I think of that?"

"Remember this, it might come in handy next time!" Vermouth chuckled softly, took two steps forward, and then stopped.

Kir also noticed someone behind her at this moment. When she turned around and saw Baishi Hui, she immediately felt a headache. "Why is it you again? Always haunting us!"

"You kidnapped my friend... and you say I'm haunting you?" Baishi Hui retorted.

"Let go of Conan!!" Yukiko stared nervously at the disguised Vermouth!

Ran frowned and silently walked in front of Yukiko.

"So you were after that child... I didn't kidnap him, go find her! I'll be leaving now." Kir didn't hesitate to sell out Vermouth, trying to bypass the other party.

However, when she hurried two steps to the left, she saw Baishi Hui had also followed and was blocking her.

"Why are you blocking me?" Kir looked at Baishi Hui and said with a frown.

"It's not just Conan, but also this explosion... I feel this explosion is related to you. Come with me to the police station!" Baishi Hui stopped them just to shift the blame.

"It seems a fight is unavoidable." Kir sighed while shaking her head, and suddenly threw a punch.

Her movements were both fast and fierce, like a cheetah.

The punch even created a whooshing sound.

But Baishi Hui knew the other party was from the CIA, so he was always on guard. As he tilted his head to dodge, he delivered a side kick.

Kir's body twisted rapidly. The moment she avoided the side kick, her left hand like an eagle's claw reached towards Baishi Hui's shoulder.

Baishi Hui directly rammed into her with his shoulder.

Kir was pushed back a few steps. She looked at the other party with some astonishment, truly not expecting his strength to be so great!

Immediately after, she lunged forward, her right fist like a cannonball heading towards Baishi Hui's face.

Baishi Hui tilted his head to dodge, then used his elbow to strike Kir's back. Kir's body leaned forward, then she spun around sharply, sweeping her leg towards Baishi Hui's ankle.

Then she discovered... she couldn't sweep him!

His lower body was too stable!

Seeing Baishi Hui's fist coming towards her, Kir had to block with both hands, and was forced back seven steps with a bang before stopping.

While the two of them started fighting, Ran wasn't idle either. She took a Karate stance and shouted, "Let go of Conan!!"

"Alright~~~~~" Vermouth's eyes lit up when she saw this, and she was no longer in a hurry to escape.

She then put Conan aside, extended her left hand and beckoned towards Ran, smiling mischievously, "Defeat me, and I'll give the child back to you."

"Then don't you regret it!" Ran said, and rushed forward.

She was like an arrow released from a bow, lunging towards that female assassin.

Ran's right foot pushed off the ground fiercely, her body leaped into the air, quickly twisting her waist in mid-air, her right leg like a sharp long blade, sweeping horizontally towards Vermouth's head.

Vermouth was amused. What was she doing? Performing acrobatics?

Her body leaned back agilely, almost parallel to the ground, the wind from the leg whistling past her eyes.

At the same time, Vermouth also took a moment to pat Ran's backside.

"You!!" Seeing her attack miss and being teased, Ran was furious.

Using the momentum of landing, her body rolled, she pushed off the ground with her hands, and sprang up again.

This time, Ran clenched both fists, her left arm in a defensive position in front, her right arm bent back, and then her right arm shot out like a cannonball straight towards Vermouth's abdomen.

The female assassin sidestepped, used one hand to quickly unbutton her collar, and the other hand like an eagle's claw reached towards the girl's arm.

Ran quickly pulled back her arm, then delivered a high kick, the tip of her shoe aiming directly at Vermouth's chin.

Vermouth smiled faintly and jumped back a step, her leather shoes making a muffled sound as they landed.

She commented with her arms crossed, "Your movements are still a bit slow... But for an ordinary girl, having this level is already quite good."

Ran already realized the gap between them, but she still chose to continue attacking.

She quickly rushed forward a few steps, then leaped up, performed a 360-degree spin in the air, her legs continuously kicking towards Vermouth like a whirlwind.

"These flashy moves are fine for performing on stage, but they have too many weaknesses in actual combat." Vermouth commented while dodging left and right.

To prove her point, during a gap in Ran's kicks, she suddenly extended a leg and kicked towards the girl's leg.

Ran was unable to dodge in mid-air. After being kicked, she fell heavily to the ground, but immediately rolled over and sprang up again, rushing towards Vermouth once more!

This spirit made Vermouth's eyes light up, and she smiled, "I'm starting to like you more and more, Ran."

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone.
