Chapter 6 - The selfish.

The man had now left the deserted village and started walking toward the direction of sunset again. The boy was quietly following him, barefoot. They had been walking for days now. The child, hungry and weak, collapsed. They had not exchanged a single word till then.

When the boy's eyes opened, the man was sitting, leaning on a stone.

As he saw the boy wake up, he stood up, looked at him… then again continued walking in the same direction.

The boy, now poor with no energy, tried to stand but his legs had given up. He crawled and tried — but now could not follow him anymore.

The man stopped, turned back.

Sat on his toes, leaning toward the boy.

He asked,

"Why are you following me?

I'm not smelling revenge from you."

"The hatred I see… the heAteRed—ahh, the hatred," he said, with a creepy smile stretching ear to ear, looking like a monster.

The boy said,

"I want to be like you."

The man drew his blade and told the boy:

"If you eat my heart, you'll get all my powers."

Then he threw the crescent blade at him.

The boy hesitated. But he moved his hand to grab the blade—

That's when the man swung his dagger and cut off a finger from the boy.

He was expecting something.

But his face showed disappointment — he didn't achieve it.

"No feAr… no... but the smell of revAnGeEeHh..." he said.

The boy got unconscious again.

But when his eyes opened — he was on the back of that man.

And the man was still walking.

They were no longer in the desert now — the land had a small amount of vegetation, and a small body of water.

The boy looked like he would die any second.

Somewhere in a grand palace...

A man in royal dress was sitting on a throne.

Women were waving big leaves as fans.

He spoke to a person bowing below the stairs.

"So you're saying some devil worshipper killed my believers?"

The man below answered nervously, in a very polite voice:

"Yes."

The man on the throne — the God of Rain — took a grape into his mouth and said,

"Don't worry. They are now in heaven.

Now go… wash that village with rain so that it never existed."

He talked like a true selfish person.

Didn't give a f*** about his believers.
