Chapter 45 - CHAPTER 45 - good job!

The owl kick forward, hitting Rasie in the stomach with a dull thud. The impact sent her body flying backward until it slammed hard against the stone cave wall. Dust fell from the ceiling as she slid to the floor, her breath catching in her throat.

KIIIEEEEEK!

The creature let out a hoarse shriek vibrated the air. The cave ceiling trembled, and sharp chunks of rock began to fall.

Zaefal raised his sword, parrying the rock fragments that came his way.

Rasie, having just pushed herself into a half-kneeling position, blocked the smaller shards with her blade.

"Not yet... not yet," Rasie gasped. Her breathing was heavy and ragged as she forced her body to stand,

Zaefal braced his feet and immediately charged toward the monster to draw its attention. I can't use Void now. Rasie is almost at her limit. If I use that technique, I won't be able to protect her if something happens, Zaefal thought to himself.

BANG!

A single, loud pistol shot suddenly echoed in the cavern. A small hole appeared in the owl creature's wing. Instantly, the defense on its rock-hard feathers becoming softer and more organic.

In a flash of teleportation magic, Fyar appeared directly behind the creature. He was already in a low crouch, his knees bent, his katana gripped tightly in both hands. He twisted at the waist, channeling all the momentum from his appearance into a single, swift horizontal slash. The blade of his sword sliced through the back of one of the owl's legs, cutting through muscle and tendon.

Its skin is back to normal?! What happened? Is this because of Fyar? Zaefal had no time to think. Seizing the opportunity, he immediately charged forward. He spun his body,

his black sword slashing upward in a powerful diagonal arc, aimed precisely at the base of the creature's right wing. Flesh and bone were severed in one clean swing. He used his momentum to pivot and repeat the same motion on the left wing.

Rasie ran straight ahead, . She swung her sword with all her might, severing the monster's right arm at the shoulder, she let her momentum carry her past the monster, then spun quickly on her heel and slashed in the opposite direction, cutting off the creature's left arm in one brutal motion. The two severed arms fell to the ground.

Illya, who had gathered the rest of her magic, pushed both of her palms forward. A concentrated ball of fire shot straight ahead and struck the creature's chest, leaving a smoking hole. The monster stood silently for a second before finally collapsing to the ground with a heavy thud,

"Good work, Fyar, Rasie, Illya," Zaefal said, his own breath still slightly ragged.

"It's a real shame you're still alive, purple hair!" Rasie exclaimed, slapping Fyar's shoulder so hard it made him stumble forward.

"A real shame, isn't it?" Fyar chuckled.

"Have you gotten your power back?" Zaefal asked, walking casually toward Fyar.

"Yeah, something like that," Fyar nodded.

"Has your memory returned as well?" Rasie asked, raising her eyebrows.

Fyar gave a light cough. "Well, unfortunately, no. I only remember how to use my power now."

Suddenly, Fyar felt a slight heat on his waist, where he kept his adventurer's card.

"What's wrong? You need to take a crap?" Rasie asked.

"My adventurer's card feels a little hot," Fyar said, taking the card from his pocket. He saw the writing on his card had changed. "Whoa."

Fyar

Age: 26

Level: 18

Status: Active Hunter

Class: Hunter

Level Up Status: 56%

Illya peeked over Fyar's shoulder. "F-Fyar?! You're level eighteen?!" She covered her mouth with both hands.

Oh yeah, they'll probably think I'm around that level anyway. Fyar smiled. "I was level fifteen. I guess killing the boss gave me a 3.5 level boost."

"So, before your power was sealed, you were level fifteen?" Rasie narrowed her eyes, looking suspicious.

"Y-yeah, that's about right," Fyar answered, scratching the back of his head.

Rasie sighed. "Oh, I see." She then walked over to the monster's corpse, from which a bright golden crystal the size of a basketball was now emerging.

So the dream was connected to me. Fyar has his power now. All that's left is to get to level fifty and receive the next twenty-five percent of my future memories. Zaefal planned his next steps in his mind.

"Congratulations, Fyar. Now you don't have to feel insecure about it anymore," Zaefal said with a smile, patting Fyar's shoulder.

"Congratulations, Fyar," Illya chimed in. She smiled sweetly at him, then her hand reached out and gently stroked his purple hair.

Fyar felt a little embarrassed by the gesture, his face growing slightly warm. He let her do it, however. He then smiled. "Thank you."
