Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Wisteria, bring the mercy of God

After bidding farewell to Lord Xia Wei, Shinobu Kocho and Kanawo rushed back to the Demon Slayer Corps' headquarters, the 'Ubuyashiki Estate,' at top speed. The number of trees adorned with clusters of purple flowers increased around them, yet she felt incredibly lighthearted at that moment.

Before this, whenever she saw wisteria flowers, she would always recall her elder sister's gentle eyes, the same color as the wisteria, and memories she wished not to revisit.

"We're back. Master must have been waiting for a long time."

As soon as they stepped onto the pebble path of the Ubuyashiki Estate, they saw two identical girls with short white hair, dressed in floral kimonos, standing on either side at the front of the path.

Shinobu Kocho gently said, "Hinaki and Nichika, have you been waiting for me here for a long time?"

Master's two daughters truly resemble Amane; they will surely be as beautiful as Amane when they grow up.

"Lady Kocho, Master has been waiting for a long time at the Pillar Meeting location."

Shinobu Kocho nodded, "Yes, I apologize for making Master wait."

"Please follow us." The two children bowed slightly, then turned to lead the way.

They soon arrived at the inner garden of the Pillar Meeting residence.

"Lady Kocho has arrived, Master," the two children said, then moved to stand on either side of Yaozai Ubuyashiki.

"Have you arrived?" Yaozai Ubuyashiki smiled gently. Although he couldn't see, his face was turned in the direction Shinobu Kocho came from, as if he could sense her.

Shinobu Kocho knelt on one knee to greet Yaozai Ubuyashiki and Amane Ubuyashiki, who were already kneeling on the floor, waiting.

"Master, Amane, I apologize for making you wait."

Yaozai Ubuyashiki's voice was very approachable: "Yes, upon receiving your letter, Insect Pillar, I began waiting here, hoping to greet you immediately."

"The information in the letter was truly too astonishing and significant. I should apologize; you haven't even had time to rest after your journey."

Shinobu Kocho replied, "No, Master, the first thing I intended to do upon my return was to explain the miraculous encounter I had last night."

Yaozai Ubuyashiki gently said, "Come over here and have some tea, good child."

No sooner had he spoken than two logistics personnel in black uniforms with the character 'Hidden' embroidered on them ran in. One carried a small table, and the other carried a kettle and a tea tray, quickly placing them in front of Yaozai Ubuyashiki before swiftly running away.

"Excuse me, Master." Shinobu Kocho knelt down in front of the small table. Kanawo knelt half a step behind her.

"Last night..." Shinobu Kocho recounted in detail what happened last night: her experiences in the divine realm, Lord Xia Wei's divine title, the Great God's identity, the Favor of God, and so on.

"Afterward, I was bestowed with the 'Favor of God' by Lord Xia Wei and became a member of His family. Now, I am Lord Xia Wei's miko."

Having received the Favor of God, she would henceforth become a subordinate deity, and she explained in detail her understanding of skills, magic, and so on.

Yaozai Ubuyashiki and Amane Ubuyashiki grew increasingly astonished.

"Destiny Fantasy Great God! Lord Xia Wei! He is the supreme deity from beyond this land!"

A Great God, a supreme deity—this was a celestial deity on par with Amaterasu Omikami.

He wields 'Destiny'!

As a member of the Ubuyashiki clan, he firmly believed in 'Destiny'.

Every child in the Demon Slayer Corps had their family taken by demons, their happiness destroyed by demons. It was the destiny of demon slaying that compelled these unfortunate children to gather together.

Their destiny was to eradicate the source of all this misfortune, the progenitor of demons, Kibutsuji Muzan!

Now, the deity who wields 'Destiny' had descended and revealed His 'divine will'.

"This is wonderful! Truly wonderful! Lady Miko, the long-cherished wish of our Ubuyashiki clan and all the swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps for a thousand years has finally reached its culmination!"

Yaozai Ubuyashiki was so excited that he coughed violently, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood: "Cough, cough, cough!"

"Master Yaozai!" Amane Ubuyashiki quickly took out a handkerchief and sadly wiped his blood-stained face.

"Master!" Shinobu Kocho paused, her expression turning serious, and she immediately began to chant a magical incantation.

"O wisteria of healing, I pray here."

As the incantation began, a hazy, pale purple light emanated from Shinobu Kocho, forming luminous wisteria petals.

Amane Ubuyashiki quickly looked up, her eyes wide. Was this the 'magic,' the crystallization of miracles, that Lady Insect Pillar—no, now Lady Miko—spoke of?

As a member of a priestly family, she knew better than anyone what it meant for a miko to be personally chosen by a deity, especially a supreme deity.

Shinobu Kocho was now the mortal spokesperson for the 'Destiny Fantasy Great God'.

"Please bring the compassion of God, dispel all suffering that should not exist."

As Shinobu Kocho chanted, the light-formed wisteria petals instantly filled the entire living room space, gently swirling around Shinobu Kocho, dreamlike and ethereal.

On the way back, she had already used her magic. Blind people and those gravely ill were completely healed by her magic.

The people she healed also learned that she was the miko of the 'Destiny Fantasy Great God' and prayed to her deity.

She believed that a supreme deity as great and compassionate as Lord Xia Wei should be known to everyone.

"So warm, is this the power of God?" Although Yaozai Ubuyashiki couldn't see, he knew Shinobu Kocho was casting magic for him by listening to the incantation and feeling the changes in his body.

The light-formed wisteria petals poured into Yaozai Ubuyashiki's body, one after another.

Yaozai Ubuyashiki only felt his severely ailing body, which was nearing its end, rapidly improving.

"Master Yaozai, your face!" Amane Ubuyashiki covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes wide.

The purplish-red spots on Yaozai Ubuyashiki's face were disappearing little by little, as if an eraser was wiping away the mutated skin.

"My face?" Yaozai Ubuyashiki raised a hand and touched his face. His fingers no longer felt the dry, orange-peel-like texture.

Suddenly, a glimmer of light entered his eyes.

Light?

Yaozai Ubuyashiki was stunned. More and more light appeared, and finally, a blurry image appeared before his eyes, gradually becoming clear.

"My eyes?"

Amane Ubuyashiki's eyes welled up as she watched the light return to Yaozai Ubuyashiki's eyes.

Yaozai Ubuyashiki looked around. Luminous wisteria petals continuously poured into his body, making him feel increasingly comfortable.

This was a feeling he had never experienced since he could remember.

The light on Shinobu Kocho's body gradually dimmed, and the last wisteria petal also merged into Yaozai Ubuyashiki's body.

However, some purplish-red spots still remained on his forehead.

"My body is healed? Has the curse disappeared?" Yaozai Ubuyashiki was as happy as a child at that moment.
