Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Windy Dog, a great success!

Lucario's plan was simple: attract customers himself.

He would showcase his strength and how well he was bred, thereby attracting customers to the Breeding House.

Their first target was... Growlithe!

Lucario assigned this task to Arcanine.

Arcanine, like a heavy tank, sped down the road before braking sharply, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Since when was there an Arcanine here?"

The noblewoman, with her hair styled in an updo and wearing a Western hat, meticulously dressed from head to toe, was not flustered, merely a little puzzled.

This Arcanine looked harmless from every angle; its drooling tongue dripped saliva onto the ground.

Its fur was well-maintained, and it ran majestically.

Its size was larger than any Arcanine she had ever seen, yet it possessed such speed, which truly surprised her.

Noblewoman Bell's husband was a Police Superintendent, the section chief of the Jubilife City Police Headquarters.

She had seen too many Arcanine, but none of them seemed as well-trained as this one.

"Hello, Arcanine, is something wrong?"

"Woof~" Arcanine lowered its body, straightened its hind legs, and wagged its tail.

This was a dog's signature move: let's play!

Lucario, hiding in the shadows, unconsciously covered his face.

(Why isn't it following the script!)

They say Pokémon resemble their Trainers, and Lucario had truly mastered Li Wei's actions.

Lucario's original plan was to have Arcanine demonstrate the moves it knew to attract Bell's attention.

But Arcanine immediately went off script.

Metang's red pupils flickered.

(Analyzing... Calculation successful, success rate 99.9999%)

?

Lucario slowly typed a question mark.

Soon, the Growlithe, which had been quietly squatting beside Bell, also unconsciously started wagging its tail.

Bell's gaze went back and forth between Arcanine and Growlithe.

"Do you want to play together?"

"Woof woof!"

Arcanine responded to her with great spirit.

Seeing Growlithe also wagging its tail, Bell thought for a moment and then untied Growlithe's leash.

Bell softly said to Arcanine, "It's still a child; you can't bully it, okay?"

"Woof woof!"

Bell still had a Poké Ball in her bag, and even if Arcanine suddenly became aggressive, she was confident she could stop it.

"Go play, Growlithe."

Growlithe imitated Arcanine, lowering its body and wagging its tail.

The two dogs, one large and one small, touched noses.

Ding, match successful.

Arcanine, a great success!

(Alright, the script really didn't work.)

Watching Arcanine and Growlithe quickly playing together, Lucario realized his plan was a complete failure!

Bell had initially kept her hand in her bag, ready to pull out a Poké Ball at any moment, but after realizing Arcanine had no ill intent,

Bell was no longer nervous.

"Woof woof~"

(Learn from me, your big bro.)

"Woof woof?" [・ヘ・?]

Growlithe tilted its head.

Arcanine's back suddenly arched, and orange-red particles gathered on its back.

Immediately after, flames condensed in Arcanine's mouth, forming giant fangs.

Growlithe also tried to imitate Arcanine, but it couldn't succeed.

The failed Growlithe was a bit dejected.

(。•́︿•̀。)

A large paw rested on Growlithe's head.

Arcanine delivered a loving head pat!

"Woof woof! Woof woof!" (Don't be sad, follow me, keep condensing the flames on your back!)

A strange light flashed in Bell's eyes.

"This is Fire Fang... Is it teaching a move?"

If Bell hadn't known for sure that this Arcanine in front of her was definitely not Growlithe's parent,

Bell would have already imagined a grand drama of a thousand-mile family reunion.

Oh dear, I've been watching too many melodramas lately...

"What's going on? I really can't figure it out."

Bell, trying to be a famous detective, racked her brains but couldn't understand why Arcanine suddenly appeared to teach a move.

"I'll ask my husband when I get back."

Lucario and Metang left after realizing Arcanine's progress was smooth; they needed to scout for new targets.

After realizing his script wouldn't work,

Lucario had a new idea.

They set their sights on the wild Pokémon nearby.

"Luca, Luca."

Lucario planned to take Metang to challenge the wild Pokémon nearby.

Firstly, it would showcase their strength, and secondly, it would give Metang some training.

"Bika."

(Analyzing... Calculation successful.)

Lucario and Metang's village bully life began!

Not only Trainer battles, but there were also many conflicts among wild Pokémon.

And some Pokémon would constantly challenge other opponents to become stronger.

Lucario's Aura quickly spread out, scanning the surroundings for any wild Pokémon engaged in battle.

Two wild Nidoran♂ were fighting over a Nidoran♀, when at the height of their tension...

A silver stream of light flashed by,

And it gave a punch to each Pokémon, equally distributed.

Even Nidoran♀ wasn't spared!

"Bika!"

(No early romance!)

While Nidoran♂ and Nidoran♀ were still staring at each other in confusion, Metang had already dropped three Oran Berries and walked away.

???

Leaving only the bewildered Nidoran♂ and Nidoran♀.

"Nanna~"

(What did it just say?)

(Nanna, nanna!)

(What's with the romance? Do you want to become strong like me? If so, come to our Breeding House!)

Lucario, observing from the shadows, nodded with satisfaction.

Little did he know, after he left...

"Nanna?"

(But it didn't say where?!)

Lucario and Metang were dedicated to battling, showcasing their strength.

Burning with firm conviction, Metang and Lucario were determined to make the Breeding House famous!

Seeing a wild Beedrill swarm, Metang's eyes lit up, and it charged straight towards them.

Metang's actions were nothing short of a provocation.

The Beedrill's twin stingers gleamed with a cold light.

The Beedrill swarm attacked!

"Buzz buzz~"

(Run away!!!)

Soon after, the Beedrill swarm began to flee in disarray.

Watching the Beedrill scatter and flee,

Metang bent its arms and roared excitedly.

"Bika!"

(Who else wants some!)

...

Lucario and the others returned one after another around four o'clock.

Li Wei noticed that Metang seemed a bit tired and had some scratches on its body.

"Did you go out to battle?"

"Bika."

Lucario nodded, (Yes.)

Li Wei didn't think much of it; Metang had always been very combative, often going out to challenge other Pokémon when they were in Celestic Town.

"Where's Arcanine?"

(It should be back soon.)

No sooner had Li Wei finished speaking than Arcanine had already passed through the gate and was running towards Li Wei.

Li Wei stroked the soft fur on Arcanine's head.

Just as he was about to ask if they were hungry, he smelled the scent of food from Arcanine's body.

"Did you eat something?"

"Woof woof~" ٩(๑>◡<๑)۶

Li Wei cautioned, "You still need to be careful about distinguishing food from outside; some can be poisonous."

Arcanine's eyes rolled around, showing a thoughtful expression, "Woof woof!"

(It said everyone outside is a good person!)

Growlithe
