"Wow!" Wanda's eyes widened, awestruck.
Kara's jaw dropped. "A mechanical Golden Crow?"
The warship had become a mythic bird, its metal feathers gleaming, eyes regal, tail like flowing fire. "First step," James said, raising his hand, energy pulsing. "Now, it lives."
Buzz! The Golden Crow's eyes flared gold, circuits activating, wings stirring a silent cosmic storm. "Life granted," James said, pleased.
The bird lowered its head, locking onto James, its psychic cry echoing in their minds: "Master." Its voice was grand, metallic yet alive.
Wanda touched its wing, stunned. "It's conscious?"
"Fully," James nodded. "Not just transformed—a true lifeform with thought and instincts."
Kara circled it, thrilled. "Can it fight in space?"
"It can fight and warp," James said. "Its engines are rule-optimized, rivaling Kryptonian ships."
Wanda's eyes sparkled. "Name?"
Kara grinned. "Golden Crow—solar power."
Wanda repeated it, nodding. "Badass."
James looked at the bird. "You're Golden Crow." It dipped its head. "Designation confirmed."
"Now, ship mode," James ordered. The bird folded, reverting to a sleek warship with golden energy veins. The trio entered, finding a vast command center, holographic star maps glowing, corridors leading to sealed compartments.
"Way better than the Skrull original," Kara said, touching a console.
Wanda marveled. "You redesigned the interior?"
"Of course," James said, activating the system. A hologram showed the ship's layout: "Golden Crow's a mobile base—ecological systems, armory, labs, even a leisure zone."
"Leisure?" Kara raised a brow. "A pool?"
James projected a cabin with a rippling pool, simulated beach, and sunlight. Wanda blushed. "You don't skimp."
"It's ours; might as well enjoy it," James shrugged, then turned serious. "Its real value is combat." He displayed weapons: "Main cannon, Solar Flare, can obliterate asteroids. Starfire array locks thousands of targets. Scorching Shield blocks star-destroyer blasts. Plus, stealth, quantum comms, and warp engines—though my portals are faster."
Kara whistled. "This could solo a nation."
"More," James said. "It's for interstellar wars, not Earth."
Wanda mused, "Our starship?"
"Pretty much," James said, eyeing the stars. "The universe is vast. Who knows what's next? Golden Crow's our ride."
Kara broke the silence. "Let's test the warp."
Wanda lit up. "A spin?"
James laughed. "Why not?" At the console, he input coordinates. "Golden Crow, warp to Titan."
"Command confirmed." Engines roared, space twisting. Swoosh! The ship vanished, leaving ripples.
Titan's space flickered, Golden Crow emerging, gliding silently. The yellow planet loomed, cracked continents and dry seas visible. Wanda gazed, awed. "Titan, Thanos's home? Bigger than I thought."
Kara, arms crossed, said, "The universe has grander sights. I saw plenty drifting after Krypton."
Wanda glanced at her. "Was your first cosmic view like this?"
Kara shrugged. "Similar, but I was young—more scared than awed."
James tapped the star map. "Titan's gravity is stable, atmosphere thin. We don't need to breathe, so we can land."
