Chapter 122 - Chapter 114: Fall of the Kree Empire

"Fire!" Ronan's roar echoed as the Kree fleet unleashed a barrage of energy beams at the Golden Crow.

The attacks halted 100 meters from the ship, blocked by an invisible wall—James's bio-field enveloping the vessel. "This is the Kree's weaponry?" he scoffed.

He waved, the Golden Crow's armor shifting, cannons locking on. "Solar Flare, fire."

BOOM! A blinding beam vaporized dozens of warships, its shockwave tearing clouds and scorching the ground. Ronan's face twisted. "Impossible! What tech is this?!"

James was done waiting. "Let's end it."

The trio flew forward, godlike, hovering above the Kree's military core. Ronan charged, hammer raised. "Intruders! Face the Kree's judgment!"

James didn't glance, his eyes flaring red. Swoosh! Heat vision pierced Ronan's chest, reducing him to ash mid-scream. Wanda's chaos magic crushed incoming soldiers, scarlet energy shredding them. Kara, a blur, tore through Kree armor like paper, wiping out an elite squad in seconds.

They stormed the Parliament, unstoppable. James's Dragon Blast incinerated the command room, flames consuming resistance. His soul detached, infiltrating the Kree's systems, absorbing millennia of data: warship designs, biotech, Inhuman creation methods—all his in seconds.

The Supreme Intelligence's hologram flickered. "You cannot destroy the Kree. Our seeds are sown across the galaxy!"

James smirked. "Seeds? Then this planet's useless."

Back on the Golden Crow, they ascended, overlooking Hala. James channeled energy into the main cannon, purple light blazing. "Fire."

BOOM! A planet-piercing beam shattered Hala's core. The planet exploded, fragments scattering, the Kree's glory and ambition erased.

Wanda watched the fading glow. "Their sins are over."

Kara, arms crossed, said, "One less scourge in the universe."

James turned to the console. "Let's move on."

The Golden Crow's engines flared, warping away.

Deep Space

Post-Kree, the trio didn't return to Earth, instead roaming the cosmos, crossing star seas, witnessing wondrous civilizations and sights.

Shi'ar Empire, Sky City

The Shi'ar capital floated in a gas giant's atmosphere, golden buildings shimmering in clouds like a mythic paradise. Wanda, on the observation deck, marveled, "It's like a dream."

Kara smiled. "Krypton had similar cities, but more utilitarian."

James chuckled. "The Shi'ar blend art and tech uniquely."

They strolled a floating garden, tasting liquid crystal jelly that shifted colors with temperature, melting sweetly.

Knowhere

A hollowed Celestial skull, now a cosmic black market. Kara browsed stalls excitedly. "More thrilling than Krypton's markets."

Wanda tried emotion perfumes, a tentacled vendor claiming they evoked joy or melancholy. James bought her a Star Serenity vial. Spraying it, Wanda's eyes widened. "It's like lying on grass under a summer night's stars."

James eyed a space-cutting dagger but lost interest—it wasn't rare to him.

Xandar

A blue planet of advanced civilization, home to the Nova Corps. Its cities buzzed with futuristic air lanes, patrol ships streaking like silver meteors. As tourists, they wandered the central plaza, catching a holographic news report: "Kree Empire falls, Galactic Council holds emergency meeting."

Wanda whispered, "Our deeds are galaxy-wide news."

Kara shrugged. "The Kree had too many enemies. No one's mourning."

James, silent, led them to a stellar restaurant, ordering glowing plant salad, crisp and sweet.

Sovereign

A planet of genetically perfect beings, gleaming gold. Soldiers stopped them, deeming the Golden Crow "unaesthetic." Kara scoffed, "Are they sick?"

James used the Mind Gem to make them ignore the trio. On golden streets, Sovereign citizens sneered at imperfection. Wanda, eyeing a gaudy ornament, said, "Too much."

James nodded. "They think their breathing's more elegant than others'."

In an unknown starfield, vibrant auroras enveloped the sky. Wanda, at the viewport, gasped, "I've never seen this."

Kara smiled softly. "The universe is full of surprises."

James, gazing ahead, turned the ship. Wanda stretched, content. "Great trip."

Kara lounged. "How about the universe's edge?"

James smiled, eyeing the star map. "Sure, but first, business. Golden Crow, set course for Morag!"
