However, if their opponent's Reiatsu was on par with theirs and their combat skills surpassed theirs, they would inevitably lose.
Of course, the years of fighting in the Rukongai hadn't been without its benefits for Ikkaku and Yumichika.
At the very least, their 'battle instincts' were far sharper than those of ordinary people.
This was something Kyoya could clearly see from their current fight.
In battle, neither Ikkaku nor Yumichika rigidly adhered to Zanjutsu techniques.

And those who achieved enlightenment of the body weren't incapable of eventually comprehending the essence of swordsmanship through repeated practice.
After watching for a while, Kyoya didn't approach Ikkaku and Yumichika.
Back then, he had said that he would let Ikkaku come before him on his own, and only then would he tell him his name. Kyoya intended to keep that promise.
Though compared to back then, Kyoya's goals had changed significantly, and he now had new plans for Ikkaku and Yumichika, he wouldn't force his will upon them.
Such things required like-minded people to work together and pass on their convictions.

Besides, since Ikkaku and Yumichika had already skipped ahead to the sixth year, it wouldn't be long before they applied for graduation exams and joined the Gotei 13.
Given Ikkaku's personality, he would only join the 11th Division.
As for Ayasegawa Yumichika, he was essentially Ikkaku's shadow, and no matter what choice Ikkaku made, Yumichika would follow.
And Ikkaku trusted Yumichika completely.
Every time Ikkaku was injured, Yumichika would always stand guard by his side.

The legitimacy of the Soul Society didn't necessarily belong solely to the Seireitei!

Whether it was his mastery as the World's Strongest Swordsman or his three types of Haki… to Yhwach, these were all 'unknown'.
As long as Kyoya's Reiatsu reached the necessary level, his battle against Yhwach might even be easier than his fight against Yamamoto.
