"How do I remember?" Lara asked.
Rosly folded her hands. "By being around things that belonged to you… things Neriah loved, touched, and used. Our memories don't come back after we are reborn, but you are different You are not just reborn, you are the same soul, returned. Your memories are still there, waiting."
Rosly reached into her satchel and pulled out a small glass vial filled with clear, shimmering water.
Lara frowned slightly. "What is it?"
"Water from the Sacred River," Rosly said. "It helps calm the mind… and wakes up your sleeping mind."
Lara held the vial carefully. "And this will help me remember?"
Rosly nodded.
She took a steady breath, then lifted the vial to her lips and drank the cool liquid.
A faint shiver ran through her.
Rosly watched her closely. "Good. Now… stay calm. Memories come in flashes — feelings, images, sounds."
Lara nodded slowly. "What do I do next?"
"You live Neriah's life."
