Ninzu didn't speak. She studied the woman, trying to understand why her presence felt… hard to ignore.
Then she stepped forward her violet eyes shining brighter.
"Who are you?"
Rhylen sighed sharply. "This is no one you need to worry about. Just be on your way."
The woman lifted an eyebrow, a small amused smile touching her lips.
"No one?" she repeated softly. "You truly want to lie in front of a Seer?"
Rhylen clenched his jaw. "Mother—"
Thornak's eyes widened. Ninzu froze.
"The demon queen?" Ninzu whispered and knelt down, bowing her head low in respect. Thornak gave a respectful bow as well.
The woman only smiled gently. "Stand. There is no need for such formality."
At that same time a man entered. He looked straight at Ninzu and Thornak.
"We know the Moonguard has been taken," he said. "And what you don't know… is that the sorcerer has already broken one of the three chains holding Dragoth in place."
Ninzu's breath caught. Thornak frowned deeply.
