The two guards turned but didn't stop her as she entered.
Dorian had told her that a stranger was asking for her by name. That was why she came out of curiosity.
As soon as he saw her, Aurion raised his hand, his palm open toward her.
Lara's golden hair began to glow, just like his. She gasped softly. Warmth spread under her skin as the light grew brighter. Strands of her hair lifted, moving in a wind that did not exist.
Dain and Ruvan stood frozen. Even Thornak was lost for words.
Aurion nodded to himself.
"Moonguard," he whispered. "At last… in her full glory. Your memories will return before long and you will awaken fully."
Then he lowered his hand slowly. The light faded, and Lara's hair settled back around her shoulders.
But her question still hung in the air.
What is coming?
"What is coming is a demon dragon," he answered simply. "Neriah, my child… I have awakened your dormant powers. Be ready, stay vigilant. When you call, I will help you in any way I can."
