Chapter 180 - Pregnancy symptoms

Lara lay on the bed, her body limp and her skin warm with sweat. Sunlight came through the window, but it didn't make her feel better.

Her eyes were closed, and her breathing was shallow.

The healer stood beside her, checking her pulse and pressing a hand to her forehead. "Her pulse is steady, but weak," she said quietly. "She's likely exhausted."

Thornak stood near the bed, his gaze fixed on her pale face. "Exhausted?" he asked.

Was it the training? Jax asked him.

Thornak shook his head. "No. She slept all night, and we barely started training."

"Prepare something to help her rest," he told the healer.

The healer nodded and began mixing a calming draught. Thornak sank into a chair beside the bed, resting a hand gently on Lara.

About an hour later, Thornak left Lara's side to meet the archers. His gaze swept over the assembly as he addressed them. "You've trained well, but the real test is coming. Precision and timing will save lives on the battlefield, not just strength."
