The warm water sloshed around us as Axel pressed me against the cool marble, his body crowding my space with an infuriating sense of dominance.
My breath hitched as I braced myself against the smooth edge of the tub, my heart pounding wildly. "You…" I exhaled sharply, trying to compose myself, but the heat of his body against mine made it nearly impossible.
Axel's smirk was downright wicked. "What's wrong, sweetheart? You were so bold just a moment ago."
My fingers curled into his chest as I glared up at him. "I was just having a bath."
"And now?" He leaned in, his breath warm against my damp skin. "Now, you're at my mercy."
I scoffed. "Oh, please." I rolled my eyes, masking the way my pulse spiked. "You think I'll just…"
Axel interrupted by slowly running his lips down the side of my neck. The difference in temperature between the cool marble at my back and the heat of his mouth sent shivers down my spine.
My resolve wavered just for a second.
