Damian seemed to be trying so hard to contain his anger as it seemed like Lucas always succeeded in bringing the worst out of him at this point.
"I can buy whatever the fuck I want for my sister!" he snapped. "It's not even any of your business, is it?"
Lucas rolled his eyes just before leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed. He wore that same smug expression that Mira found herself starting to hate. He looked completely relaxed, like he was enjoying some private stage drama.
"You know, the way you always talk about her like you're blood is almost admirable. But then, it's fact that you're not even related by blood, so I don't seem to get why you keep up this performance of yours."
His smirk even widened as if he was baiting and hunting a prey.
Damian got off the bed and walked over to Lucas to face him directly.
"That means nothing. She's my sister, and I know her better than you ever will!"
