Chapter 2 - Dominating Godmaking Online

Miguel couldn't help but grin widely, his heart pounding with excitement. This Supreme Sacrifice talent was absolutely broken. Sacrificing corpses to get stronger? In Godmaking Online, there was never a shortage of corpses.

The wilderness maps were always swarming with players farming monsters. By the end of the day, the ground would be littered with slain creatures. Unlike most MMOs, Godmaking Online had one unique mechanic—the bodies of defeated monsters wouldn't vanish instantly. They lingered for ten whole minutes before disappearing completely.

With that kind of setup, Miguel didn't even need to grind monsters himself. All he had to do was stroll out of the Novice Village, and he'd find enough corpses to fuel his power surge. If his calculations were right, with this talent, he could climb back to the peak in record time.

"With Supreme Sacrifice, I'll stack attributes faster than anyone else. And once I have the power… I'll clear dungeons I couldn't touch in my previous life. This time, it's not just about reclaiming my throne… I'll go beyond it."

His grin twisted into something darker, eyes glinting with malice. "And the first one I'll kill again will be that damned Thunder Main God. Killing him once wasn't enough… twice will be so much sweeter."

Somewhere far away, in the boundless cosmos, a realm crackled with divine lightning. Within a palace of thunderclouds, a towering figure stirred, shivering as an unexplainable chill ran down his spine.

"What was that?" murmured the Thunder Main God, frowning in confusion. He had no idea that a mortal he once helped hunt was already plotting his second death.

Back in the dim cabin, Miguel's gaze fell on the plain blue ring on his finger, his eyes burning with anticipation.

"I wonder… could it still be inside?"

This ring was still a mystery to him even after a lifetime. It had two known functions. The first was beyond imagination—it could upgrade talents. In Godmaking Online, talent upgrade items were priceless treasures. Even the rarest ones could only push talents up to Epic tier. Reaching Divine rank was nearly impossible, and Main God rank was supposed to be a dream.

Yet this ring had slowly elevated his once Gold-rank talent step by step until it reached the pinnacle of Main God-level. Without it, he would never have ignited his divine flame, never have claimed his throne among the gods.

Its second ability was just as astounding—a limitless storage space. In his previous life, Miguel had stored countless resources within it, from divine crystals to dozens of god-level corpses. The most precious of all was the body of the Thunder Main God himself, his greatest trophy.

"If all of it's still here… if every last resource made it back with me… then I won't even need to leave this room to skyrocket to power. God-level? Main God-level? I could reach it in days."

His pulse quickened with the thought. With everything he had accumulated before, his road to supremacy would be paved with ease.

Taking a deep breath, Miguel summoned the ring's spatial storage. As the invisible vault opened, his expression froze, twisting into a strange mix of disappointment and delight.

The bad news? Every last resource, every divine artifact, every god-level corpse he had painstakingly collected was gone. Erased.

But lying there, in perfect condition, was a single towering corpse radiating residual power.

The Thunder Main God.

Miguel's lips curled into a feral grin, his eyes flashing dangerously. "A single Main God's body should give me a ridiculous amount of free attribute points. Come on… just a billion or so would do. Nothing too crazy," he thought half-jokingly, anticipation buzzing in his veins.

He pressed his palm against the ring and whispered the word that would change everything: "Sacrifice."

The corpse vanished in a flash of radiant light, a streak shooting into his chest and dissolving into pure energy.

Ding! You have sacrificed a Main God-level corpse. Gained 10,000 Free Attribute Points.

Miguel stared at the system message, his jaw dropping. The thrill that had been building up inside him instantly crumbled.

"What the hell?! Ten thousand?! Where's my hundred million?! Are you kidding me right now?!"

Rage flared, and he leaped off the creaky bed, stomping the floor as if the game itself had played a cruel prank on him. But after a few moments of venting, his breathing slowed. He dragged his fingers through his hair, letting out a shaky laugh.

In truth, this wasn't bad at all. Ten thousand Free Attribute Points in the early game? That was monstrous. In Godmaking Online, leveling barely rewarded players with a handful of attributes per level. Even completing special quests or clearing rare dungeons never yielded gains like this.

Right now, no player in the entire game—no matter how high their rank—could possibly match him in stats. He was already standing far above them all.

"Sure, I didn't get my billion… but this is more than enough to crush anyone in the starting zone."

His smile returned just as another notification appeared.

Ding! Special Rewards obtained:

Talent: [Heart of the Thunder God] (Main God-Class)

+10 Divinity Points

Miguel's heart skipped a beat. A Main God-tier talent as a bonus? That alone was priceless. This was a talent that wouldn't lose its value even when he reached godhood again. At this stage of the game, it would make him unstoppable.

He quickly opened his status panel, scrolling to the new talent.

[Heart of the Thunder God] (Main God-Class)

Effect 1: Grants 100% immunity to all lightning-based damage.

Effect 2: Increases lightning-based damage by 10,000%.

Effect 3: Casting lightning skills consumes no Mana, and skill cooldowns are reduced by 50%.

Miguel's eyes lit up like twin stars. The first effect alone was game-breaking. He immediately thought of a certain map near the Novice Village—a zone infested with Lightning Wraiths.

These elemental monsters could only use lightning magic, unleashing storms of bolts that wiped out entire parties. Most players avoided that area like the plague. Only someone with a rare, specialized talent could farm there safely.

With this new talent, Miguel could walk into that lightning hell unscathed, farming thousands of wraiths while other players squabbled over scraps in beginner zones.

"Shame it's not full magic immunity… if it were, half the game's maps would be my personal playground," he mused greedily.

Still, the second effect was absurd—lightning damage increased a hundredfold? That meant if he switched to a mage class and learned lightning spells, every single cast would obliterate enemies far above his level.

And the third effect? No Mana cost, reduced cooldowns… it was practically forcing him onto the mage path.

Miguel chuckled under his breath. "Guess this life, I'll be a thunder god among mortals instead of a mere archer. Let's see who dares challenge me now."
