Chapter 2 - First Mission

"So I really died during that damn mission…"

Takashi let out a long sigh as he exited Konoha's medical center. The sun blazed overhead, flooding the Hidden Leaf Village streets with golden light. Around him, merchants shouted their deals, praising the flavor of grilled skewers and candied fruit rolls. The scent of spices, sweat, cherry blossoms, and fried food blended into a typical olfactory cocktail of a village full of life… far too much life.

"I was planning to retire, settle on a beach, sip some rum far away from all this bullshit… and instead, I end up reincarnated into… Naruto? Seriously? No... this has to be a hallucination. It's gotta be Number 4's crap again. Yeah. Just a bad trip..."

He ran a hand down his face, trying to steady his mind. Everything felt too real: the sun's warmth, the solid ground beneath his sandals, the murmuring crowd. None of it felt like a dream.

He scanned the area—the traditional Japanese-style buildings, shinobi darting across rooftops.

"Too peaceful… way too peaceful," he muttered, eyes narrowing.

Yet deep inside, unease lingered. He had considered every possibility to rationalize the situation: a coma, a delusion, a simulation… but nothing added up. What if it wasn't a dream? What if he really had been reincarnated into this universe?

BAM.

His shoulder collided with something—or rather, someone.

"Watch where you're walking, dumbass!" growled a sharp female voice.

Takashi stumbled back, caught off guard. In front of him stood a woman in her thirties, with generous curves and a piercing gaze. Her violet hair cascaded down to her lower back, perfectly matching her dark, expressive eyes.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention," he apologized, bowing slightly. A reflex. Likely inherited from the former owner of this body.

But something strange happened. Her annoyed expression shifted instantly when their eyes met. Her gaze flickered. Her cheeks flushed red.

"I-it's fine… just be more careful next time… handsome."

She turned on her heel, cheeks still crimson, sneaking one last bashful glance at him.

Takashi raised an eyebrow.

"What the hell…?"

He knew the body he now inhabited wasn't bad… but this? He wasn't supposed to look like some Greek god, was he?

He quickly walked away, aware that she was still checking him out.

[Ting Ting Ting.]

[System] — Activation conditions met. Integration in progress…

"What the hell?!" he exclaimed aloud, drawing a few curious looks from passersby.

He had just heard a voice… in his head.

[System] — Welcome, bearer of the Sin of Lust.

Consciousness upload complete.

A floating interface appeared in front of his eyes, like a hologram invisible to others.

Takashi stared at the window, stunned.

"…What the hell is this?"

It looked suspiciously like an RPG interface. But it didn't feel like a game.

[System] — This is real. I am an AI designed to assist the host in his ascension.

"And now a voice reading my thoughts… lovely."

[System] — For convenience, I read the host's thoughts unless the host consciously resists.

Takashi frowned but said nothing. The idea of his thoughts being analyzed constantly bothered him… but he'd endured worse.

"You called me bearer of the Sin of Lust. What the hell does that mean?"

[System] — The host is the reincarnation of one of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Sin of Lust.

"Go on."

[System] — Besides you, six others exist: Pride, Greed, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth. Each is fated to become the perfect being. To do so, they must eliminate the others and absorb their sins.

Takashi pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Of course… obviously. A battle royale between overpowered sociopaths. That's just great. And I'm the womanizer of the bunch…"

[System] — Correct. The more the host seduces, the stronger he becomes. Each emotion triggered in a target generates conquest points. In some cases, these points also allow you to absorb a target's skill.

A sly grin tugged at his lips.

"Seduction to survive… now that I can do. And what can I spend these conquest points on?"

[System] — They can be used to purchase skills, items, and upgrades in the system shop.

Takashi nodded. This world may have thrown a deadly game at him, but he didn't intend to play the victim. He pushed open the door to the small house that served as his home—simple, but functional.

"One last question. What timeline are we in?"

[System] — Naruto Shippuden.

[System] — More precisely, just before Gaara's rescue by Team Kakashi.

A flash of excitement crossed Takashi's eyes.

This world was full of powerful, influential—sometimes dangerous—women. Kunoichi, criminals, nobles, sensei… The opportunities were endless. All he needed was a plan.

"Alright… let's play, then."

He shut the door behind him, a shadow of a smirk on his face.

"The hunt begins."
