Jack Although he didn't know the full situation yet, he could clearly hear the urgency and fear in Harrison's voice.
Harrison had always been calm, collected, and in control, but this was the first time he saw him panic. He even said that the student council president and vice president will be gone if it was slower.
Jack realized that the problem might be serious.
He quickly rushed into the conference room and deleted Jason's name from the expulsion list on the presentation. The two other vice presidents of the student council, Ethan and Zach, walked in, puzzled.
Ethan asked, "Why are you panicking? What's going on? The meeting hasn't even started—why was Jason's name deleted?"
Jack said, "I don't know the details. The president just said we might get into trouble. Do you know who tried to expel Jason?"
Ethan shook his head. He wasn't sure—after all, there were multiple expulsion lists, and he hadn't bothered to check them all.
Ethan then asked, "What's Jason's background anyway?"
Jack shook his head. "I don't know. Let's just wait for the president to come."
Zach stayed silent on the side, unsure what to say.
Meanwhile, Zach only knew half the story, and he had no idea how serious the situation really was.
Soon, Harrison arrived, sweating and panting, with Eric rushing behind him.
"Jason… is his name deleted from the expulsion list?" Harrison asked urgently, barely catching his breath.
"Deleted. Deleted. What's going on with the president?" Ethan asked, anxious.
Harrison took a few deep breaths, then spoke in a deep, serious tone: "I just went to the administration building to report to the Youth Committee. Guess what I saw there?"
"I saw the secretary of the Youth Committee, the vice president, the dean of the School of Information, the director of the Finance Department, and other top administrators being extremely polite to Jason. Even the ordinary Youth Committee teachers could only stand quietly in the corner."
"I asked about it, but the teachers didn't explain fully. They just said Jason is someone extremely valued by the vice president and the dean. He's considered a VIP of the Finance Office."
"I don't know his exact background, but do you understand what kind of influence that is?"
Jack and Ethan gasped, their jaws dropping. They were shocked beyond words.
Even ordinary Youth Committee teachers were Jason's superiors. The secretary, the dean, the finance director, the vice president—these were all people far above them in authority. And Jason had the respect of them all.
And yet he appeared on our expulsion list?
Jack and Ethan broke out in cold sweats, realizing the gravity of the problem.
To put it bluntly, if Jason only gave a single word, all the student council's presidents and vice presidents could be replaced immediately. The entire student council could be overturned in an instant.
Zach finally opened his mouth, stunned. He had met Jason before and knew he was wealthy. But seeing the level of respect he commanded, he finally understood that Jason was untouchable—no one could move against him casually.
But no one expected Jason's status to be so high. He actually made the director of the finance office, the dean, and the vice president behave politely toward him? Who exactly was this guy?
Eric said nervously, "What should we do? Even though we deleted Jason's name in time, the news probably got out already… and Jason might already know about this."
Harrison said, "An apology is definitely inevitable, but the top priority now is to figure out who proposed Jason's expulsion."
"I'll check immediately," Ethan said, nodding vigorously.
The president and the three vice presidents quickly investigated together. Their efficiency was terrifying—they got results in less than three minutes. The person who had put Jason's name forward was Cole.
Harrison, Eric, and Zach all turned to Ethan. Ethan broke out in a cold sweat and quickly said, "I didn't know anything about this."
At that moment, Ethan was fuming inside. Liam Cole had been his protégé—someone he had promoted and trusted. And now Cole had done something this reckless? He couldn't blame himself, but he was seething.
Harrison said, "Let's deal with the situation in a moment. First, call Cole over. If we don't handle this properly, I don't know if we'll be in trouble—but once Jason hears about it, we're definitely done for."
Ethan didn't say another word and immediately called Liam. Liam hurried over, confused and nervous.
Harrison scolded, "Cole, do you want to ruin us?"
He froze. He had never seen Harrison so unrestrained and panicked. He hesitated, unsure what to say.
Ethan continued, "Cole, why did you put Jason up for expulsion? He hasn't done anything wrong in the student council. His performance is more than adequate, and this is nowhere near grounds for expulsion."
Cole was stunned. Expel Jason? Why were the president and vice presidents so worked up over him?
He had been a little petty, hearing that Holly Larson had been having dinner with Jason, and this little jealousy drove him to act. But Cole was just a minor figure in the Study Department. How could he admit that his motives were personal revenge?
Ethan glared, explaining everything he had seen and heard in the administration building.
As Cole listened, he went completely pale. A student receiving this level of respect from the school's top administrators? It was unbelievable.
"Go, apologize to Jason in person," Harrison, Ethan, and Zach said firmly. They didn't give Cole a chance to resist and marched him toward Jason.
However, Jason's phone couldn't be reached, so they called his squad leader instead.
He sounded surprised at first, but when he heard what happened, he quickly interceded: "Don't worry. Jason is extremely reliable."
Harrison interrupted, "Of course we know that. Jason has always been a model in both character and academics, so it seemed strange that someone tried to expel him. That's why we investigated."
"It turns out it was Cole, abusing his power for personal revenge. We're bringing him to apologize to Jason in person."
Eric added, "We made a mistake by sending out the list without clarifying the facts. It's fortunate we caught it in time."
Ethan said, "We've sent out a message to clarify the situation, but an in-person apology is still necessary to show sincerity."
On the other end of the phone, he was dumbfounded. The president and vice presidents of the student council were handling this with such urgency and respect.
What Harrison said had long been Jason's truth: he was reliable, honest, and diligent. They didn't trust Cole's accusation one bit.
They were about to investigate this matter, but it does not matter now, even if he is guilty, they were first to go who bring up the topic.
