Chapter 159 - 159

After buying cars for Grace and Ali, Jason Carter began looking for his own.

Even though Angela's eyes were filled with anticipation, Jason deliberately acted as if he didn't notice. She wasn't his woman yet — so there was no way he'd buy her a car.

Jason had already set his sights on one particular vehicle. He walked straight toward it and stopped in front of it.

It was a massive off-road truck, radiating a wild, commanding presence. Even a Mercedes-Benz G-Class looked like a toy next to it.

It was a Mercedes-Benz Unimog.

The last time he needed assistance, the chairman of that company, had driven this exact model.

Back then, Jason had been fascinated by it — he thought the machine looked unbelievably powerful. He hadn't expected to find one again so soon, and even more surprising — someone had already ordered it and was willing to hand it over before registration.

"Mr. Carter, this vehicle's on-road price is estimated to be over $700,000," Olivia said, walking over to give an introduction.

"I'll take it," Jason replied calmly.

As for the G-Class — Holly Larson had always liked that one, so he'd give it to her.

Olivia nodded, making a quick note.

Jason continued walking, his gaze sweeping along the next row of cars until he stopped before a Mercedes-Maybach S680.

"Mr. Carter, this one's the S680 Limited Bespoke Edition, priced at around $650,000. Would you like to take it?" Olivia asked.

"I'll take it," Jason nodded. "It's perfect as a business car — I've heard the back seats are ridiculously comfortable."

Olivia jotted down another note.

Jason kept moving, reaching the far end of the exhibition hall.

In the open space ahead stood a single vehicle, towering over all the rest — a giant on wheels.

It took up half a basketball court.

It was an RV, far larger and more luxurious than the usual kind, overflowing with tech and wealth — it practically smelled of money.

Jason's interest was immediately piqued. Driving something like this across the country sounded appealing — a home on wheels wherever he went.

Olivia walked forward to explain, "This is the Mercedes-Benz Vario Signature 1200. It's about 40 feet long, 13 feet tall, and 8 feet wide, weighing around 26 tons. It's powered by a 523-horsepower inline-six diesel engine and comes with an electrically retractable awning that extends almost 20 feet wide. The front end can lower a projection screen for a full outdoor theater setup. Everything inside — furniture, appliances — are top-brand imports. There's even a hidden rear garage that can carry a sports car and a sedan."

"How much?" Jason asked.

"Eight million dollars," Olivia said.

"I'll take it," Jason replied without hesitation.

Olivia didn't even blink as she wrote that down.

The middle-aged men who had followed along stood frozen in disbelief. They'd come intending to pitch their cars, ready with talking points and features.

But they never got the chance — Jason picked every car in seconds, one after another, like he was shopping at a convenience store.

To him, millions of dollars might as well have been pocket change.

They were all members of the Auto club, each wealthy in their own right — men used to spending big on luxury cars.

But even for them, every purchase took weeks of thought and negotiation.

Jason Carter, though? He was buying million-dollar machines like a man browsing the aisles of a dollar store.

From this, it was clear that although everyone here was rich, they were simply not on the same level — there was no comparison.

Angela and Grace stood there, mouths agape. They had thought Jason Carter was already casual about buying cars before, but now they realized he could be even more casual.

Grace and Ali had at least spent years dreaming about the models they picked, carefully comparing features and aesthetics. But the cars Jason selected? He barely looked at them. Each one averaged over a million dollars, yet the entire process took less than five minutes.

After choosing the Mercedes-Benz Unimog, the Mercedes-Maybach S680 Limited Edition, and the Vario Signature 1200 RV, Jason didn't stop — he kept walking toward another row of luxury vehicles.

At this point, he already had everything covered: an off-roader (Unimog), an executive car (Rolls-Royce Cullinan), a business luxury sedan (Maybach S680), an RV, and a sports car (Lamborghini). He really wasn't missing anything.

So, he became more selective, walking calmly all the way to the end of the second row.

He stopped.

In front of him stood a Bugatti Chiron, its iconic horseshoe-shaped grille radiating pure dominance — instantly recognizable to anyone who knew cars.

The sleek, C-shaped curve along the side wasn't just for looks; it cut down air resistance and improved stability at high speeds. Every inch of its design screamed perfection — from styling to aerodynamics.

Under the hood sat an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, capable of producing an insane 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Nm of torque. The car could go from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 260 mph — basically a jet with wheels.

Inside, it was a palace of leather, metal, and hand-crafted detail — every part of it smelled like money.

"Mr. Carter," Olivia said softly, "this Bugatti Chiron belongs to Mr. Wyatt. It's his new car — he preordered it two years ago, and it just arrived. He wanted to build a connection with you, so he's willing to let you have it at his own cost. The on-road price is a little over nine million. For a special license plate, there'll be an additional fee."

A man who can spend 9 million on a car was already considered one of the city's elite. The fact that someone of that level wanted to curry favor with Jason said everything.

Jason nodded lightly. "Alright, I'll take it. Send him two hundred thousand dollars' worth of wine as a thank-you gift."

He already had a Lamborghini, sure — but there was nothing wrong with owning another supercar. The Bugatti Chiron in front of him was simply too beautiful to resist.

Its design, power, and presence gave him an itch in his palms. Missing this one meant waiting years for a preorder slot, so why bother? It was only nine million, after all — might as well have some fun.

Olivia quickly jotted down the order, her expression calm but eyes secretly wide.

Angela and Grace watched the entire thing, completely stunned. Their jaws hung open in disbelief.

One car. Over nine million dollars.

And he treated it like it was pocket change.

Were those real U.S. dollars he was spending — or Monopoly money?

They had met wealthy people before, but they had never seen this. The so-called "rich guys" they used to think were impressive now looked like broke college kids compared to Jason Carter.

Angela: Favorability +3

Grace: Favorability +1

Grace looked at Jason, hesitation flickering in her eyes. Then, after a brief moment of struggle, she gritted her teeth — and walked straight toward him.
