The Thunder Realm was huge, buzzing with the sounds of thunder and featuring symbols of water and fire everywhere. The buildings were all blue, and the city felt really big.
Inside the castle, King Ryo and Queen Yuki were sitting on their thrones. Yuki wore a long pink dress covered in flowers and wore black glasses to read a book.
Meanwhile, Ryo yelled at the guards, "You guys are unbelievable! I told you to fix the armor, not trash it!"
Ryo looked tough in his black armor, with strong biceps and light skin, and those striking blue eyes. The palace itself was decked out in gold and blue, with kids running around and animals making noise all around.
Prince Raiken was wandering near the throne in his royal blue and gold outfit, happily spinning around for fun.
Ryo said, "If you all are not going to fix this problem..." The guard, whose armor was nearly invisible, replied, "But sir, I'm sorry, but..."
"There will be an attack tonight. The Ninja realm threatens us with death if we don't give them access to the spirit realm."
Ryo pinched his nose and said, "Listen, can't you make a deal with them?"
The guard responded, "Sorry, sir. I can't. They were very serious; they even sent a letter."
He handed a red envelope to the king with his right hand. The king took the envelope, glared at the guard, and began to open it.
When the king opened it he tossed the papers away King Ryo started reading it loud enough so the guards could hear it

After reading the letter, the king's eyes turned red with anger as he tossed the papers aside. Meanwhile, the ninjas were swinging around the palace.
They had arrived just after the king opened the envelope, unaware that it was actually a teleportation envelope.
The leader of the ninjas used it to transport them to a concealed area within the palace—a dark room that kept them hidden from the king's view.
The leader of the group on this mission was Sayo. He wore a black mask and black clothing, fully concealing his identity. Sayo gave a hand wave signal to one of the ninjas, indicating it was safe to approach. The second ninja, Ash, performed two backflips and hid behind Sayo.
Sayo used hand signals to direct Ash to look to his left while he looked to his right.
"It's safe, no danger," Ash reported.
"Are you sure?" Sayo asked.
I am sure Ash replied. That no matter how fast we try to be, we never know when the king or his wife will arrive, and if the guards see us, we could be in trouble.
They never see us; we are ninjas. If they see us, it will be too late. We need to be fast and find the son to complete the mission. Replied Sayo
They were slowly walking out of the dark room. Sayo had his eyes fixed intently on the door, while Ash followed closely behind him. The room was entirely black, the lights completely out, but it was large. Suddenly, Ash stepped on a stick, which let out a crackling noise, heightening the suspense in the air.
Sayo and Ash heard footsteps approaching from behind the door. "Hide behind me, fast!" said Sayo, quickly positioning himself in front of Ash. "On three, we are going to jump the guards, okay?" Ash nodded nervously.
"Creak, creak," the sound of footsteps grew louder as they neared the door. It slowly opened, revealing two guards who peered in. One of the guards, wearing gold clothing, gasped, "YOU GUYS ARE FROM THE NINJA REALM! DEATH SHALL BE WITH YOU TODAY!"
The guards reached for their swords, but Sayo and Ash drew theirs much faster. As the guards lunged at Ash, their strikes were clumsy and missed. Sayo stepped in, his sword clashing against the guard's with a fierce metallic ring. The tension in the air was electric as the battle began, each swing of the swords was loud in the dark room.
Sayo moved quickly with his sword, pointing it at the guard's chest. The guard trembled slightly, and Sayo could have killed him right there, but instead, he reached into his pocket, pulled out a small black box, and let its contents fall like sand over the guard. The guard was knocked out.
The second guard, taken by surprise, didn't realize that Ash was behind him. As he performed a backflip, Ash seized the guard by the neck and pressed a knife against his throat. "If you resist," Ash warned, "you'll end up much worse than your friend on the ground." The guard's eyes widened, and he began to shake; his previously strong and firm posture crumbled into a weak stance. Meanwhile, Sayo laughed.
Ash then retrieved something from his pocket: a light blue box. He mimicked Sayo's earlier action, letting the contents flow like sand, and with a poof, the second guard fell unconscious as well.
Just then, they heard footsteps and turned to see a teenager entering through the door. Sayo's eyes widened; the newcomer was wearing golden clothing, indicating he must be from a royal family. Raiken tried to make a run for it, but a third ninja appeared from behind and punched him until he fell down.
Sayo and Ash both exclaimed, "Oliver!" The newcomer casually replied, "Hey guys, I'm here to help you out of trouble."
Sayo responded, "Weren't you just at the main station? This mission wasn't for you."
Oliver placed his hands on his hips, glanced out the window, and said, "Well, it looks like the mission has passed, either way."
Ash whispered to Sayo, "I hate that guy, always trying to steal the spotlight."
Sayo whispered back, "Me too."
Oliver, overhearing them, asked, "What did you guys say?"
Sayo and Ash replied in unison, "Our hate for you."
Oliver clutched his heart dramatically and said, "Ouch! That hurts, but fair enough. At least you guys say it to my face."
Sayo said, "Okay, take the boy and leave."
Ash replied, "First, we need to set the curse on the realm."
Sayo responded, "Not yet! The main boss instructed us to only take the prince and not to take any further actions."
Oliver interjected, "That's messed up, especially since we already killed the guards."
Sayo clarified, "They aren't dead!"
Oliver countered, "Sure, they're just in a super long coma that they don't wake up from. Got it?"
Sayo urged urgently, "Just leave before more guards arrive and take the boy!" Oliver approached the door, flexing his blue-red hair. He knelt down to take the unconscious boy by the shoulder.
With a strong effort, he lifted the boy and positioned him behind his shoulders, securing him firmly as he prepared to escape.
The weight of the unconscious child felt heavy, yet Oliver's resolve only strengthened as he glanced back one last time before bolting through the door.
Ash took a magical tablet from his pocket. Sayo stared in disbelief and said, "Okay, that's impossible! How did you do that?" Ash replied, "A ninja never reveals their secrets."
Sayo frowned and remarked, "Stop gatekeeping; it's weird! You took that out of a pocket that's only small enough to hold a phone! How did you manage that?"
Ash shrugged and said, "No, you just have skill issues." He tapped on the screen of the tablet, and suddenly, large images appeared. Ash selected a location—the main area of the ninja realm, the hidden base of their operations.
As soon as he clicked on it, both Ash and Sayo were transformed to the new location. It was a bit dark, with shadows casting over the ancient stone walls. The atmosphere was thick with mystery,
As they stood on the grass, Ash gazed up at the stone walls of the high castle. Turning to Sayo, he asked, "Do you think Dad would be happy to see us?" Ash's expression shifted as he looked down at the grass beneath his feet.
Sayo replied, "I told you, Dad would probably be happier fighting lions than seeing us."
"But we're his children! We completed the mission he gave us. Surely he'll be happy, right?" Ash persisted, his eyes filled with hope.
Sayo's gaze softened slightly as he considered his younger brother's naivety. Ash always clung to the belief that their father would appreciate their efforts and yearned for their parents' attention. A wave of sympathy washed over Sayo; he felt almost sorry for Ash. The younger boy was deluded, holding onto hopes that were bound to be dashed.
Sayo had tried to explain their situation before, but Ash never seemed to listen. "Don't get your hopes up," Sayo warned. "They'll probably just scream at us, even if we did complete the mission. They scream at us when we fail, so why would this time be any different?"
Sayo walked over to Ash and ruffled his hair affectionately. Ash, however, was not pleased with the response. "But they need to love us! We are their children!" he exclaimed, frustration spilling into his voice.
Sayo shook his head. "We never were really. We were just their little helpers. They were the ones who helped us grow up." His eyes turned sharp, glimmering with a silver light. "Let's drop this topic now."
Ash rolled his eyes but listened anyway. He ran far to the castle, with Sayo following him. When they reached the door, Ash stopped to open it. He walked inside, and Sayo tried to walk more slowly behind him. The ninja guards welcomed them, and both Sayo and Ash took off their masks. Sayo let his hair return to its normal colors: black and silver, while Ash shoved his hands into his pockets and walked forward, looking around. The ninjas were training with swords.
They explored every room until they finally found their father. Ash straightened his posture and said, Father, we passed the mission.
