As those people got closer. The sky above started to turn darker as moments passed by. Soon, they stopped in front of their house door.
One of them pointed his finger at the window where Lily could be seen standing,He questioned in gruff tone:
"Where is Anastia?..
The one who challenges the authority of divine order.."
Lily decided to remain quiet.
Her hands were trembling beneath .But, somehow she gathered the courage and pointed the sniper at them.
Her jaw tightened as she asked,
"Why do you need her..?"
The guy smiled upon her innocence,
"Why are you asking such question. Are you trying to protecting her..?"
Lily thought for a second but as she was lost in thought .The man took the opportunity.
In a blink , he took the gun from her hands and pinned her to the ground.
It was too late before Lily could realized the situation.She tried to free herself failed as he had tigten his grip.
Soon their leader came from behind and ordered,
"Release her."
The voice somehow ressembled Lily tone .She looked up and saw a woman standing in front of her who turns out be their leader.Her face hidden by the cape.
The woman bowed and inspected her face.She took every details of her face.
Lily felt strange by the proximity of their closeness.She hestitated before she asked,
"Why are you looking at me in such a strange manner?."
The woman blinked by her question.Her face slowly curved into a smirk,
"Why can't I?."
Lily didn't know what else to say so she just went quite.The woman took a last glance at her and stood up to take her cape off.
As she did ,her facial appearance became visible and Lily couldn't believe what she was witnessing .Horror filled her eyes as she realized:
"That woman was no other than Anastia mother and tshe was the leader behind this assassin group."
Lily felt as if the world had crumbled beneath her feet by this sudden revelation.She sat in horror as she questioned,
"But you weren't meant to be alive.. How could this happen?"
Anastia mother smiled at her reaction.Her eyes brows all arched as she came closer,
"You know life is quite unexpected, just like death.
Fate has its own role.."
She looked at the stairs which was leading to next floor where Selena was :
"My name Melia you can call me by my name."
She slowly started to walk there,Lily upon seeing this panic and tried to stop her but as she was trapped she could only watch in despair as she left
for the room where Selena was..
Before leaving she looked at everything for a second and her gaze was calculated as if she was trying to find something .After that she left and her foot steps echoed through the hallways.
Lily could only whisper,
"We are in trouble now."
Selena on the other side snapped out of her thoughts as the sound of someone footsteps were heard.Selena took a deep breath preparing herself for what's about to come .She could tell,
"Melia is finally here I guess now.."
