Chapter 182 - Chapter 181. The Enemy's Battle Plan, Obtained by Chat

Main Office, Land of Waves

Kushina lounged on the sofa, lazily peeling an orange.

"The final, all-out assault is tomorrow, and you're not even holding a general meeting?" She popped a segment into her mouth. "Feels a bit disrespectful to the whole 'decisive battle' vibe, don't you think?"

Beside her, Mikoto carefully peeled a pear, glancing up with a puzzled expression.

"Does a 'vibe' need respect?"

"Well, logically? No," Kushina conceded after a moment's thought. "But this is the final battle! The public and the higher-ups have no real idea how we stack up against them. And our opponents are Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha—the legends who ended the Warring States Period! These aren't just any small fries. Shouldn't we at least have some kind of battle plan?"

"A battle plan?" Mikoto raised a delicate eyebrow. "Have we ever actually had one of those from the beginning? Or should I say, it's all just in Yuto-kun's head?"

"Relying entirely on him is fine," Kushina agreed, not bothering to argue. She knew better than anyone how capable he was. "Even if he fought alone, he could probably crush the Allied Shinobi Forces. But what's the point in that? We need a team victory here!"

"That's true…"

"And the most important thing for a team victory is confidence! If our side doesn't have enough confidence, how are we supposed to win?"

"So, you want Yuto-kun to hold a meeting to boost morale?"

"That's part of it, and it's important! But there's something even bigger—none of us have a clue about the Allied Shinobi Forces' attack routes or formations! If we don't even know where the enemy is coming from, what are we supposed to do when the fighting starts?"

"That is a valid point," Yuto nodded, finally looking up from the device he was tinkering with. "But the issue is, I don't know their attack routes either."

"Huh?" Kushina stared, dumbfounded.

"I'm not a god; I can't predict the future," Yuto said with a helpless shrug. "But it's fine. I'll just ask their supreme commander."

As he spoke, he pulled out the mysterious communication device from his pocket. The screen lit up, and his fingers flew across it.

[Dumb Snack]: Madara, eaten yet?

A reply came almost instantly.

[Magical Girl]: What time is it now?

[Dumb Snack]: Oh, forgot you guys eat late over there.

[Magical Girl]: You eaten already?

[Dumb Snack]: Mhmm, just finished.

[Magical Girl]: Wanna hop on the game?

[Dumb Snack]: Got stuff to do later, can't carry you this time.

[Magical Girl]: Tch, like I need you to carry me!

[Dumb Snack]: True, Lord Madara is the strongest!

[Magical Girl]: You damn…

Even through text, Madara's irritation was palpable. The old man wasn't stupid; the sarcasm in Yuto's words was thick enough to cut with a knife.

'Little shit! So what if he'd mooched a few ranked battles? Was it worth holding a grudge this long?'

[Dumb Snack]: Madara, you're supposed to be fighting the transmigrator and the Land of Waves tomorrow, right? And you're still grinding ranks?

[Magical Girl]: Tomorrow's the season end. Why wouldn't I grind?

[Dumb Snack]: Just for the seasons end? Wait, did you set the battle date because of this? You waited until after the season ended to settle things with the Land of Waves?

[Magical Girl]: Hmph.

[Dumb Snack]: That's not good, Madara. You're losing yourself to the game. Games are just games… reality is more important! If you keep this up, when will I ever become the Imperial Strategist and reach the peak of life?

[Magical Girl]: Bullshit! I'm not!

[Dumb Snack]: Look at you now, still denying it! This breaks my heart!

[Magical Girl]: What the hell are you heartbroken about?

[Dumb Snack]: Thinking about that transmigrator throwing his weight around and building a harem in the shinobi world—of course my heart aches! I'm a pure love enthusiast. Pure love fans can't stand harems!

[Magical Girl]: You fools, always obsessing over women! What's so great about women? Instead of gossiping about them, why not help me grind some ranked battles!

[Dumb Snack]: Sure thing, you're absolutely right.

[Magical Girl]: I got a question—how do you fight the Two-Tails?

[Dumb Snack]: Grab its head, and punch it!

Pfft. Kushina couldn't hold back a snort of laughter.

She knew Yuto was fully aware that Madara was asking about the Two-Tails in the game, but he'd deliberately given advice for fighting the real thing.

'What a troublemaker.'

[Magical Girl]: Are you fucking with me? I'm asking how to fight the Two-Tails in the Valley of the End! The real Two-Tails is trash; I can crush it with one hand!

[Dumb Snack]: So awesome! Lord Madara is amazing!

[Magical Girl]: Answer my damn question!

[Dumb Snack]: Oh, you meant the Valley of the End? Should've said so earlier! Why didn't you just say so?

[Magical Girl]: Say what, you damn troll? Are you high?

[Dumb Snack]: The Two-Tails is easy. You're Madara Uchiha—you've got crowd control abilities. Just lock it down and combo it. If you're farmed enough, it's dead.

[Magical Girl]: But it keeps jumping around!

[Dumb Snack]: That's why you lock it down! CC it before it jumps! Speaking of which, got any ideas for attacking the Land of Waves? Like, a battle plan or something? Let me take a look?

[Magical Girl]: What ideas? The Land of Waves' population is limited. First, send the ordinary shinobi to pin down and wear them out. Then, Hashirama and I will crush the main city. In that scenario, that little brat Yuto will be as good as dead!

[Dumb Snack]: That's a bit naive. Ten ordinary shinobi together can't take down one Arrancar, right? You'd just be wasting your own forces and end up looking like a clown.

[Magical Girl]: Got any ideas, then?

[Dumb Snack]: A spearhead unit is the right idea, but ordinary shinobi lives matter too. I suggest you have the Hollowfied shinobi each lead a unit and attack along different routes.

[Magical Girl]: Wouldn't splitting forces weaken our overall strength?

[Dumb Snack]: Yeah, of course. But this way, at least one route is guaranteed to break through, instead of everyone just chaotically swarming in. By the way, have you compared the combat strength of both sides?

[Magical Girl]: Hmph! The only troublesome thing on their side is Hayashi Yuto's Zanpakutō. The rest are just dead weights!

[Dumb Snack]: You sure? If they have ten Espada, at least the top three must be pretty strong!

[Magical Girl]: Don't worry about that. No matter how strong, they're nothing special. Now, about splitting the routes—how many do you think would work?

[Dumb Snack]: Four?

[Magical Girl]: Fine, we'll do it your way!

[Dumb Snack]: Alright, I've got things to do.

Yuto closed the communicator, a faint, amused smile playing on his lips.

"Well, now we know their plan." He looked at the two women. "Next step, disseminate this intel to all levels of command."

"Incredible… absolutely godly," Kushina muttered, her lips twitching as she shook her head in disbelief. "Having an online friend like you is truly Madara Uchiha's blessing."
