A man kneeled in front of a painting of someone all too familiar a mangled corpse lying not even a foot away from the man he heard the galloping of horses approaching, and he rose from the ground approaching the back door. He leaned his head towards the door and heard nothing a clumsy military was sent after him, and as he did that he opened the door and crouched near the corner to the left of the exit. He grabbed a masonry trowel and used it to cut rope off his hip using it to tie the end on the trowel and the other around his wrist. The horses stopped heart beating the man peered his head around the corner and saw five men four armed with katanas 1 armed with a wakizashi and a tanegashima (pistol) all wearing traditional eastern military armor. One of the lackies approached the back door and the man with the trowel dangling from his wrist leaped from the corner and with one quick motion slit the invader's throat from a foot away retracting the trowel and grabbing the man hiding the body. He snuck around the other side where he'd hug the wall approaching the front he gripped the handle of the trowel as the one he presumed to be the leader would approach the front door breaking it down with a kick. Two men would enter two men would wait outside. The ronin jumped from the corner stabbing the closest man four times in the side of his neck as the other man drew his sword and screamed "We have the vermin!" A fire starts from inside starting with a crackle and ending with a bang the two walk outside eyeing the vagrant who was wearing a ragged kimono hair back in a bun and straw sandals on his feet. The ragged man swung the kunai in a circular motion and lunged it at the big guy who grabbed the attack and pulled him in with his sword hand in his left hand he drew his pistol and fired. Three hours later I would awake with blood on my eye blurry vision and a headache that could kill a tiger and I crawled my way into a new purpose.
