Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: This Woman Can Still Be Saved!

In the original story, Bibi Dong claimed everything she did was for Yu Xiaogang—but truthfully, that was mostly just an excuse. No… not entirely an excuse. Perhaps part of her actions really were to vent her frustrations. But, more than anything, she just wanted revenge.

All that hatred toward the world stemmed from the tragedies she had suffered.

She was a pitiful woman.

But also…

A terrifying one.

So even when facing such a dangerously unstable woman—beautiful as she might be—Yunchuan wasn't swayed. He wasn't the kind of guy whose morals shifted depending on how pretty someone looked. He understood full well that behind Bibi Dong's stunning appearance lay a dangerous, vengeful heart.

That said, for now, she probably wouldn't lay a hand on him. After all, as the son of the Clear Sky Douluo, Tang Hao, she likely wouldn't risk it. His father had, indirectly, helped her by seriously injuring Qian Xunji. If it hadn't been for that, taking down Qian Xunji and seizing the position of Pope wouldn't have been nearly so smooth for her.

In other words…

Yunchuan figured he was relatively safe—for the moment, anyway.

Now the real question was how Spirit Hall planned to deal with him. Would they brainwash him from a young age, raise him as a tool to one day face off with his father? Or maybe kill him outright to vent their anger? Or perhaps use him as a bargaining chip in some shady deal with the Clear Sky Sect or some other faction?

Each possibility would lead to vastly different outcomes.

The following day...

After stuffing himself with milk, Yunchuan, feeling sluggish from overeating, began crawling around the spacious nursery to aid digestion, just like he always did.

The place was relatively empty and safe—mostly filled with toys the wet nurse had left behind. Other than a small crib, there wasn't even much furniture. The room was bare, but safe. Even a clueless baby couldn't get themselves into much trouble here.

The wet nurse had stepped out for some unknown errand, leaving him alone.

Before long, the door creaked open again.

Yunchuan figured the wet nurse had returned, but when he turned his head, the first thing he saw was a familiar pair of shapely legs. Then a smooth, flat stomach… and above that—two full, ample curves that were somehow even bigger than his own tiny head…

There was only one person in the entirety of Spirit Hall with a figure this flawless: the former holy maiden and current Pope—Bibi Dong.

"Gulp."

He swallowed instinctively.

'Damn it… I really want to play with those.'

Even more tempting was the faint, sweet scent he caught when she held him yesterday—it was clearly breastmilk. That practically confirmed it: Bibi Dong was still lactating!

But wasn't that weird?

According to the original storyline, Qian Renxue was already six or seven years old by now, and well past breastfeeding. So how was Bibi Dong still producing milk?

Yunchuan was baffled.

Still, that mystery would have to wait. The more pressing matter was: what was this crazy lady doing here today?

She couldn't have come just because she thought he was cute, right?

That didn't align at all with the cold, ruthless Bibi Dong he remembered from the original timeline.

As he puzzled over it, Bibi Dong stepped closer, knelt in front of him, and stared at him intently with her deep, jewel-like eyes—as if she were searching for someone else within him.

Her gaze… softened.

With an almost trembling gentleness, she reached out her slender hand and began to softly caress his chubby little cheek.

"Ee…ya?"

Yunchuan tilted his head adorably, feigning confusion like an innocent baby trying to understand why this pretty "auntie" was touching his face.

Suddenly, a wild thought struck him.

'Wait… Don't tell me… she's using me as a replacement for Qian Renxue?!'

That theory… actually made a scary amount of sense.

In the original story, Bibi Dong had been… violated. What followed was the birth of a daughter—Qian Renxue. But Bibi Dong, as a traumatized young woman, faced incredibly complex emotions toward her child.

On one hand, her natural maternal instinct made her want to love and care for the baby.

But on the other… the child was the product of the man who had destroyed her life. Just looking at Renxue brought back unbearable memories—and a hatred so pure she wanted nothing more than to sever all ties.

At first, her entire mind was consumed with revenge—on him, on the man who had defiled everything she held dear. She dreamed of killing him.

And when she finally succeeded…

She was lost.

She had no family left. The man she once loved hated her guts. Her so-called mentor turned out to be a devil incarnate, and now he was dead too.

At that point, she asked herself—

'What's left for me in this world?'

Go to Yu Xiaogang, tell him the truth?

Impossible.

Bibi Dong would never allow herself—now tainted and unworthy—to taint that pure love they once shared. Besides, he had already moved on. He didn't need her anymore.

With that realization, bitterness and sorrow surged again.

The hatred toward Qian Xunji burned all over anew.

Killing him wasn't enough. To truly erase that monster's shadow, she had to destroy the very thing he loved and worked for—Spirit Hall itself.

So her descent began.

Everything afterward—every mad path she walked—could be traced to one root problem: she was starved for love. Once revenge was fulfilled, she had no goal, no purpose. She clung desperately to revenge, and to the illusion that she still "loved" Yu Xiaogang, to give herself a reason to exist.

It was… pitiable, truly.

Had someone—anyone—stepped into her world during those aimless days after her revenge, maybe things could've turned out differently.

Her daughter should've been the perfect answer. Or even Yu Xiaogang.

But every time she looked at Qian Renxue, those painful memories returned. The shadow of that man.

She wanted to love her daughter—but also couldn't bear to see her. So she grew cold, distant. Eventually, she sent her away to the Heaven Dou Empire as an undercover agent, just to get her out of sight.

Once her daughter was gone, and with no one left in her empty world, loneliness clawed at her soul... Twisting her. Distorting her.

And with the influence of the Rakshasa God's legacy, she finally resolved: she'd take vengeance on the world itself.

But right now—right at this moment—she had just gotten her revenge, and mentally, she was still relatively intact.

Emotionally vulnerable, but stable.

This was a window of opportunity.

'She's just avenged her suffering. Her heart is hollow. Now's the perfect time to slip in…'

Outwardly, Yunchuan continued blinking his large, innocent black eyes at her like a clueless baby.

But inside?

Inside, a bold plan had begun to take shape.

'I'll make myself… her emotional anchor.'

Right now, Bibi Dong clearly had an overflow of maternal instinct with nowhere to go. Perfect. Armed with his peerless baby face—rated by the system as "the most dazzling child in all the realms"—and his natural cuteness, Yunchuan was ready to act.

He'd weaponize cuteness.

Who said his god-level charm was just about being handsome?

Charm, as one of the three major stats in his system—alongside innate talent and comprehension—wasn't something so shallow as just being "a pretty face." True charm radiated like a law of nature—a living embodiment of beauty itself.

Who could resist beauty?

Not even the world itself, if it had a will.

Let alone someone like Bibi Dong.

If he truly committed to it…

If he really wanted to capture this woman's heart and become her everything—

Then it was absolutely possible.
