Chapter 63 - Kraven's feelings

"What the hell happened here? What are you doing to her?"

Athena lifted her hands slightly in defense, keeping her voice calm but firm. "I didn't do anything… I just noticed her wounds. I was checking if she was okay."

The woman's jaw tightened, distrust etched all over her face. Without another word, she hooked an arm under the girl's and pulled her away from the sink.

The weaker one… Lena, mumbled something incoherent, barely able to stand, but the other woman held her up with practiced strength.

Before leaving, the stranger turned her head just enough to give Athena a hard, warning glare. A silent message… stay out of this.

Athena's chest tightened as she watched them disappear out the door. The echo of their footsteps faded, leaving her alone in the washroom with only the harsh atmosphere.

Her pulse quickened.

Those wounds… and that reaction from the other girl. Was Lena the proof I needed? Or just another dead end?
