Athena adjusted her mask which was starting to slip off. This VIP area is a secretive place. The guests here come for fun hiding their identities.
It's a good thing for Kraven, at least with his disguise charm and the mask on his face hides his identity and smell perfectly.
Kraven leaned back, his arm still stretched across the booth behind Athena. His lips curved into that lazy, dangerous smirk of his as he murmured, "Then let's keep the act going. At least until we smell the human again."
Athena threw him a confused look mid-sip of her drink. Smell?
Without thinking, she blurted, "How could you possibly smell her out in a crowd like this?"
The words left her mouth before her brain could stop them.
Kraven stilled.
Slowly, his head tilted, eyes narrowing as he turned to look at her fully… as though she'd just grown another head. "How?" He repeated, incredulous. "With our nose, Athena. Obviously!"
His tone carried mockery but there was no humor in his gaze.
