The quiet aftermath of dinner was broken only by the clatter of plates as Seo-jun and Hye-mi cleared the table. In the hallway, Soo-yeon pointed to the old man gazing at a childhood photo of Seo-jun.
"That's Grandpa," Seo-jun explained.
The man turned, his eyes softening. "You've grown so strong. It's strange to look at you now. You were so innocent as a boy, and now you're a man of twenty-six."
A faint smile touched Seo-jun's lips.
"I've decided to work with the LX Corporation," his grandfather announced.
"Are you sure?" Seo-jun asked.
"I am," the man confirmed. "But it worries me. Cha Tae-hyun's father and I were rivals. It seems we must play nice now."
"Mr. Cha Tae-hyun's father?" Seo-jun clarified.
His grandfather nodded. "We were friends for a time, but after that…" He sighed, the memory clearly painful. "Anyway, I still can't accept the Cha family. But if you see value in this, I won't stand in your way."
