Chapter 106 - It wasn’t a dream.

The first light of dawn was a timid, grey brushstroke against the windowpanes when Seo-jun awoke. For a disorienting moment, the weight and warmth in his arms felt like a dream, a cruel phantom limb from a life he'd been forced to abandon. Then, Min Jae shifted in his sleep, a soft, unconscious sound escaping his lips, and the reality of it all crashed back over Seo-jun with a force that stole his breath.

He was here. He was really here.

Min Jae was curled into him, his face, even in sleep, etched with the remnants of yesterday's agony. The sharp, controlled lines of the CEO were gone, softened by exhaustion and the vulnerability of slumber. In their place was the man Seo-jun had fallen in love with—the one who worried, who felt things too deeply, who had once whispered his fears of fatherhood into the dark. Seeing him like this, so utterly unguarded, was both a balm and a fresh wound.
