Chapter 116 - He knows.

The heavy oak door of the study clicked shut behind Min Jae, a sound as final as a tomb seal. Inside, the silence was a physical weight, broken only by the ragged intake of Lisa's breath.

"He knows," she whispered, her voice trembling with a fury that was laced with fear. "He knows about the clinic."

Tae-hyun stood immobile, his knuckles white where they gripped the edge of his desk. The torn pieces of the leaked document lay at his feet like a declaration of war. His son's final words echoed in the cavernous room. You should have killed me. It was not the plea of a victim, but the taunt of a rival who had just revealed the depth of his hand.

"He knows nothing," Tae-hyun countered, his voice a low growl, though the certainty was a thin veneer over his own rising panic. "He's fishing. Throwing out bait to see what bites." His gaze, cold and sharp, shifted to Do Hyun, who looked as if he'd been physically struck. "The question is, what did you bite on? What did you say to him?"
