Hi Readers really I'm begging your support please help me on patreon it's my bad time please support me i kindly request you all 🙏 🙏 🙏

Rayder was secretly pleased. He had shaken off those annoying watchers on the ground and at last had the freedom to explore Dragonstone without interference.

The wind rushed past his face as he soared higher on Kidora's back, the island's volcanic ridges and jagged cliffs spread beneath him like a map. He relished the freedom, his mood lightened by the boundless sky.

But before he could bask in that joy for more than a few breaths, a familiar roar split the air behind him.

Rayder didn't even need to look. That sound—low, sharp, and brimming with aggression—belonged to Caraxes. Which meant, of course, that Daemon was once again in pursuit.

Persistent nuisance, Rayder thought darkly, rolling his eyes. Too lazy to waste energy on the prince's antics, he leaned into Kidora's neck and urged his dragon faster.

The golden wings of Kidora cut through the air like blades, leaving Caraxes trailing behind. Daemon could follow all he liked, but he had no means to stop him.

Rayder's focus shifted back to what mattered—his search. For him, exploration meant opportunity, and opportunity meant more dragons.

Discovery in the Valley

Dragonstone was vast by human standards, but to a dragon's wings, it could be crossed in moments. It wasn't long before Rayder's senses pricked. His sharp hearing and instinct, honed by both his own nature and the system's enhancements, picked up the telltale rhythm of another dragon's breathing.

He slowed his flight, descending carefully toward a secluded valley half-hidden by jagged cliffs and twisted pines. There, resting in the tall grass near a hot spring, lay a dragon unlike the others he had seen.

Its scales were a shimmering emerald green, still fresh with the sheen of youth. Though not massive, its lithe body stretched across the clearing, tail curling like a whip. Steam from the spring rose around it, glinting off its scales in waves of green and gold.

Rayder's eyes lit up. At last—an unclaimed dragon.

Even if it was still young, this was precisely the kind of chance he had been searching for.

He tugged on Kidora's reins, guiding the great beast to land softly a short distance away. The grass bent under Kidora's weight as the golden dragon settled, rumbling faintly.

Black Dragon Im and Red Dragon Yigen circled above once before landing nearby, instinctively forming a protective perimeter. Their vigilance mirrored Rayder's own anticipation.

Sliding down from Kidora's back, Rayder patted the dragon's neck. "Stay close," he murmured. "The others hold position."

With Kidora padding quietly behind him, he began his cautious approach toward the green dragon.

The System's Confidence

To Rayder, dragons were treasures beyond price. Every one he added to his retinue was another step toward unmatched power. And unlike others, he possessed a secret advantage—the system.

The system did not require complete taming or lifelong bonding. Even a flicker of goodwill from a dragon, even a moment of recognition, was enough. Once that bond was formed, the system would integrate the dragon fully, binding it to him with unbreakable loyalty.

It was a cheat, a power no Targaryen could rival. And it gave Rayder unshakable confidence as he crept closer to the emerald-scaled creature.

Measuring the Beast

At first glance, Rayder had thought it a hatchling, fragile and small. But as he drew closer, he realized his mistake. The dragon stretched longer than expected, its sinuous body clearly exceeding ten meters from snout to tail.

He stopped, studying it more carefully, recalling half-broken fragments of Valyrian lore he had once unearthed among the ruins.

A dragon's growth followed rough stages:

Juvenile Stage: usually under ten meters in length, their growth surging rapidly.

Sub-adult Stage: length between ten and thirty meters. Still growing quickly, though their strength already considerable.

Adulthood: bodies stretching to fifty meters or more. Growth slowed, but power solidified.

Prime Stage: one hundred to one hundred fifty years of dominance, where length often exceeded a hundred meters.

Old Age: growth halted around one hundred twenty meters. The fire within began to wane.

Twilight Years: decline accelerated, often ending within a few decades.

The texts had whispered of exceptions—legendary dragons that shattered these limits, growing beyond comprehension. But such cases were rare, stories more myth than truth.

The green dragon before him, already over ten meters, was no hatchling at all. It stood at the threshold of the sub-adult stage—young, but not weak. Strong enough to be wary, strong enough to resist.

Rayder's heart quickened. Not just a child, then… but a prize with real teeth.

---

The Dragon's Wariness

He slowed his steps, spreading his hands open in a show of harmlessness. Kidora followed silently, but even its looming shadow drew a reaction.

The green dragon's amber eyes snapped open, pupils narrowing into sharp slits. It let out a low growl, the sound vibrating through the clearing. Its claws kneaded the earth, scraping at the stones as its wings twitched in agitation.

Rayder froze, gauging the balance between curiosity and fear in those reptilian eyes. The dragon was wary, yes—but it had not fled. Not yet. That hesitation was the sliver of opportunity he needed.

He took another step, breathing slowly, every movement measured.

Two meters… one and a half… one…

His hand extended, fingers reaching toward those gleaming green scales. The moment of connection was within his grasp.

---

Interrupted

The world shattered with twin roars.

The first was Caraxes, shrill and piercing, echoing across the valley. Rayder clenched his jaw. That sound was all too familiar—it was Daemon again, meddling at the worst possible time.

The second roar was deeper, stranger—commanding, filled with authority. It wasn't merely a cry of warning; it was a demand, a proclamation of dominance.

For the green dragon, the effect was immediate. Its eyes widened in terror, curiosity vanishing in an instant. With a panicked screech, it sprang to its feet, wings beating furiously. Grass flattened under the blast of air as it launched itself skyward, fleeing like a startled deer.

Rayder's outstretched fingers grasped only emptiness. The scales that should have been his slipped away into the sky.

His face twisted in fury. Daemon! He etched the prince's name in his mental "little notebook," vowing retribution. Someday, he would make him pay for every single interference.

---

A New Predator Appears

Rayder leapt back onto Kidora, ready to give chase. But before he could even issue the order, a shadow fell across the valley.

The sunlight dimmed. The ground trembled.

Rayder's head snapped upward—and his breath caught.

Descending from the heavens was a dragon vast and terrible, its scales black as charcoal, its wings blotting out the sky. Its size rivaled even that of his own Red Dragon Yigen and Black Dragon Im.

Its descent was no casual glide. It came down like a thunderbolt, every movement radiating predatory intent.

Its target was the fleeing green dragon.

The massive beast opened its maw, jagged teeth gleaming like swords, and lunged with the force of a falling mountain.

The green dragon shrieked, twisting and rolling through the air, desperately trying to avoid those snapping jaws. Against such a predator, it looked pitifully fragile, like a rabbit fleeing a wolf.

---

The Desperate Flight

Rayder's sharp eyes tracked every movement. The green dragon's wings beat furiously, agility its only defense. It darted sideways, tucked its body to roll, then veered upward at the last instant, narrowly evading each strike.

But the black dragon's pursuit was relentless. Its speed rivaled its size, and every missed bite brought it closer. Twice the green dragon barely slipped free, the wind of those enormous jaws brushing against its tail.

Each time, Rayder's heart pounded harder. He had been seconds away from claiming this prize. Now, before his very eyes, another was about to snatch it away—or worse, devour it whole.

The green dragon's cries were filled with panic, echoing like a child's wails across the valley.

Rayder clenched his fists. Fury boiled inside him, not just at Daemon, but at this new arrival.

That dragon is mine.

---

To Be Continued…

Rayder's hand tightened on Kidora's reins. His dragons rumbled restlessly, sensing his rising anger. Black scales gleamed, crimson wings spread, golden eyes burned—all awaiting his command.

Above, predator and prey spiraled in a deadly dance, one black as night, the other green as spring.

The next move would decide not only the fate of the green dragon, but also Rayder's claim to power.

And Rayder, teeth gritted and eyes ablaze, was ready to stake everything.
